What an absolutely STUNNING episode! Can’t think of a better adjective to describe it, really...
The HIGHLIGHT of this episode will remain the BRILLIANT use of Foreshadowing...
In Essa’s words, the most “Khush Kismet” guy
In Rida’s words, her “Amanat”
What SUPERLATIVE use of screenplay to give us a glimpse of the future...
Yet not quite...
Since it can go either way!
Samira Fazal, you can most definitely take a bow!👏👏👏
What a finely done sequence of the proverbial “sacrifice”...
Let me start from the very beginning...
What a GORGEOUS Essa-Navera opening scene...from the moment Essa sits down, his eyes doing all the talking...glad Navera cleared the air...even more glad that Essa told her everything....in his trademark logical way...the “how could you believe Maham” was so characteristically Essa!👍
The water bottle touch...to keep the momentum going...was FAB...Navera and her well-being is Essa’s priority...the beauty is, he is able to convince her about the same! (read: Essa’s handling of Navera, as he manages to convince Navera, to get her, dinner)!❤️
The scene thereafter, between the 2 sisters was pure love! This bond is indeed special!🤗
Essa and Navera’s conversation, immediately after was from the heart...it reached our hearts, too!😊
Essa was being himself, while Navera too was being herself....there is just no pretence between these two...they may not have realised it, but they are just perfect for each other!
The final sequence of the scene was simply BEAUTIFUL!
As the intensity of Navera’s words hit Essa...
As he realises that he can only be a part of Navera’s world...
Since her world is Rida!
What a FANTASTIC, not to mention CONVINCING interpretation of Sacrifice!👏👏👏
Everything just came together seamlessly in that sequence...the impact was spot on!👍
The “morning of the surgery” was done very well...
For me though, personally, the standout moment was Essa not batting an eyelid towards Navera, as he proves his love...
The recipient was Rida, but was she??
The recipient was Navera, but she was the only one who realised it!
👏👏👏
Essa is an extremely nuanced character, and Usama Khan is playing him to perfection!👏👍👌
As I conclude, the endgame can turn out either way, but I will still put my monies on Essa-Navera...Mohlat, for me, is a beautiful tale of love and sacrifice between three noble souls...Rida’s nobility will emerge the strongest....I will take the ring as symbolism of the same! :)
Cheers!
DocD
P.S.: The OST added a lot to the aforementioned sequences today...was not just used very effectively....but even contributed to my interpretation....of this heartfelt story of unconditional love and sacrifice...
