Honestly its not like I didn't see it coming but todays virat bk scene had me really upset regardless. Itnaa kuch kiya bk neh but still virat says- i still have izzat, mein aapka nazariya samajhta hun!( I cant believe they made him say that) Gussa tha but alls well that ends well. And everyone eben jokes saying mast a mast! Sai looks SO thrilled. Ugh. Where are our righteous leads who want to fight for truth. One is ACP, one is policewaale ki daughter n wife.despite that both of them have been butchered just to show hum saath saath hai. Sad.

I feel like its absolutely irresponsible for makers to show people go scot free despite commiting crimes of this magnitude. Their crimes are on the same lines of grievousness like rape and murder. Such a terrible social message it sends out. I know its just a show but i think its utterly unacceptable but still we have all accepted it coz we have no choice.

Was it too much to atleast have virat say something like aapne joh kiya, gunaah tha but i hope aapko apni galti par pachtaava hai and despite everything, its goid that devi has finally found her family.

I mean bk NEVER accepted that she faulted. Till the end she only said- i did what i had to. And ninad omi didn't melt for even a second despite seeing the emotional reunion of devi-harini.

The least they could do was show these despicable people have some regret and guilt, apologize for their actions!

This complete whitewash where virat today even says i understand your nazariya is just not cool. Period. And everyone including Sai is having a light moment over the issue joking saying "mast ha mast" . Made me cringe.

This show is trivializing and overlooking lots of important social issues n they dont even realize it or care 2 hoots!

They did the same with virat pp hospital scenes where they basically show pp attempt to touch a guy without his permission and her advances continue to border on harassment. And yes, harassment doesn't have to be purely physical.

Similarly they trivialized domestic abuse. But atleast there they gave us a sincere apology by the perpetrator and they had attempted to make the scene a little less "confrontational" compared to the original.

This issue of devkit-harini is not even " grey zone". Its out n out criminal. This is even without including kidnapping n forgery.

I am appalled at how casually its been treated.

Disheartened, disappointed and disgusted.

Yes. I hated that nazariya dialogue. He actually understood their POV..his sister went crazy with trauma. And he understood?!

I read the updates and I could not bring myself to watch the first 5 minutes of the episode. It is nauseating to even see it in mute. How can they make the ML and FL overlook a crime of this magnitude? I expected Virat to not react angrily but to have him say that he still respects her is disgusting. Virat not reacting during BK & gang's zillat drama and insulting sessions is very, very different from his silence in this issue. ITV shows a lot of crimes but to me Devyani's past was so horrific and disturbing - unlike anything I've seen.

As much as yesterday's skit was well done, it killed the mood for me to see Bhavani and her stooges being part of it. Are we to believe that Bhavani is affected by her daughter's life story when day after day she thought it fit to lock her daughter and give her wrong medications?

And like you mentioned yesterday, what sense do we make of the knots in SaiRat's relationship? Now that Devyani's past has been revealed, why did no one (including Virat, Sai , Ashwini) question the lies that were used against Sai that led to her ousting? SaiRat almost became the second DevKit - separated by deceit...do they even realise that?

TBH I can take an overdose of didi in place of their blatant whitewashing. The day they decided to whitewash BK & gang, I lost my attachment to the show. I see the episodes because I enjoy coming to the forum. But for me, the show as well as SaiRat have lost depth. The idiotic makers could have milked the reveal - with lots of emotional drama. Then have Pulkit pull out a stunt to stop the arrest if they wanted.

Its not just a show.

For the longest time, I have personally believed that ITV is a reflection of our society and our society is a reflection of ITV.

Yes, the saas-bahu drama is definitely exaggerated on tv. But its not entirely false. Many mothers try to separate their son and daughter-in-law and vice-a-versa also happens in reality because of insecurities.

People returning back alive and not being dead is the most stupid thing ITV has ever come up with. Someone's spouse being dead and then they find someone who looks exactly like them is again, a very stupid and unrealistic thing ITV has.

But many parts, like in this show, we have seen Ashwini deliberately chose to keep living in an abusive household because she didn't have a support system. Virat has grown up in such an abusive family, most of his complicated behavior is a result of that. These are things that happen in real life too.

But when we see BK gang facing absolutely no consequences of their crimes, its disheartening (to put it mildly). Like you already said, its sends out an extremely wrong message to the society. One might not be bothered by it, thinking its just a show, and people should know better than to take moral lessons from tv, and while I do agree, sadly that's not the case with majority. The media has a huge impact on society, its subtle most of the times so people and makers might not realize it, but it shapes the way society thinks.

I am glad I have already stopped watching, otherwise there's now way I could have taken Virat and Sai's behavior with BK gang.

You have articulated so well. ❤️

BK's toxicity impacted so many family members negatively - Ashwini, Virat, Devyani. I got attached to the show because it held a mirror to uncomfortable aspects of Indian society that are rarely seen in TV. That was why SaiRat was realistic. Things that happened to Devyani does happen in urban, middle-class families. Mothers breaking their son's marriages, women suffering silently in abusive households is even more common. But if they had to whitewash it in the end, better to have stuck with light hearted family drama.

@bold This is where the makers are being irresponsible and immoral. Most of the issues in society don't ever talked enough because it is cloaked under concepts of motherhood, family, honour - whose sanctity cannot/must not be questioned. The makers are dishing out the same insincere narrative.

Well said.

So disappointing. With such high TRPs, they reach such a large audience. They could use this medium to better society and regressive thinking. But they keep showing so much garbage on repeat.

@bold agree.. was highly disappointed.. knew he won't arrest but he should have shown mirror, pointed out their crimes and asked to mend their ways. And if they were so keen on white washing at least could have done in right way by Perpetrators accepting what they did is wrong and would repent and make sure not to repeat.. But what we get is i did what u asked me to , hope now u won't have any bad feelings for me.. which means it was just for a show, we will be back to square one

I wanted to throw something at both Sai and Virat in today's starting scene. I can't believe they trivialized such a grave issue. Even today, many couples are killed mercilessly for daring to love against the society's norms. And yet, these people brushed off such an important issue. This is why I say ITV people shouldn't touch such topics if they can't handle it with sensitivity. What would be Virat's opinion if DevKit couldn't get their happy ending? Would he have brushed off Bk & gang's crimes even then. What if Pulkit couldn't find Harinee? How would have these people reacted then? Forget all that, what if tomorrow Kaku & gang do the same to Sai and SaiRat's child? Would ACP Chavan and Sai Joshi be silent then? That whole scene left such a bitter taste and made SiaRat as characters fall so much. That is why I didn't mind Didi blasting Virat or badmouthing Sai so much today. It was a relief to see someone blasting these two, for whatever twisted reason it was. And that Pulkit is a moron too. That guy is happily bonding with the people who separated his wife and child and even endangered all their lives. He should have kept Devi and Harinee far away from these people. Instead he is happy being related to such criminals. 🤢

I'm so done with this show! pathetic editing, direction, story writing and creatives! either vanker is not interested or has some completely deflected goals like pleasing his favourite and white washing her along with the stupid bk gang! I just hope the trp falls further!

That mohobbat ka promo was a total sham! I'm suprised that a prime time show on star has such pathetic direction and editing! just feel sorry for Ayesha and the rest of the brilliant cast who are working and living in a bio bubble away from their loved ones.

Exactly! Why show these heavy topics if you can't handle them sensibly? Show is falling lower and lower.

I still cannot believe they made a policeman say that he understands Bhavani's nazariya and that he still respects her. Most shows will whitewash by having the guilty apologise. Here, forget apologising, ML & FL are justifying her actions! Both Sai and Virta have been butchered beyond correction.
