I think Patralekha was Virat's infatuation and Sai is his love.

He only knew PP for barely two days and its impossible to fall in love in such little time. Yes you can get attracted to someone but no you can't love them. Love is not about outer beauty , it's about personality and nature. Virat decided that PP is a very mature and smart woman in just two days meeting but it's after his marriage with Sai he saw her true nature that's why he always get shocked when he sees her behaving so cruelly and immaturely. That's why he moved on and realised that what he thought love was actually just infatuation and made it clear to PP too that he doesn't love her anymore and she is just a friend and SIL to him.

On the other hand with Sai , he first thought her as an angry , immature and arrogant girl but after spending time with her , knowing her he understood her true personality that she might have some faults but she also has a heart of gold , she cares and loves very deeply and would do anything for her loved ones even at the cost of her happiness , that she always support truth and do the right thing no matter what are the consequences. They have gone through so much , crossed so many hurdles and they has seen them at their worst and best moments. They have been happy , sad , angry together and both feel incomplete without the other. They both have accepted each other's goodness and faults too. Virat loves Sai's bravery , truthfulness , care but he also has accepted her anger and impulsiveness infact he loves them sometimes too. Just like that Sai also loves Virat's care , protectiveness , bravery but also accepted his harsh behaviour and impulsive anger. That's why I think they both love each other.

Yeah !! This can be seen as first stage of love . Their relationship needs time to flourish . I agree sometimes you find your soulmate in a person who is complete opposite of you . Sometimes you desires to behave out of your own personality and wants to inculcate certain characteristics in your personalities but due to some reasons you just resist and when you meet the person with those characteristics you feel complete.

Most importantly they have started to fall in love but they haven't started to understand each other or even communicate, the two most important things about a relationship. Such MUs will keep happening if they don't start sharing what they feel about each other and if they don't trust each other.
