Just sharing my thoughts what I wrote on twitter as well.

Nothing should've distracted Virat while hugging Sai (esp. first time that too initiated by Sai). Even if he wanted to thank Pakhi, the timing was just so badly misplaced. It should've been a precious moment for him who behaves like madly in love with Sai. Why would he even look at anyone else when Virat is always shown to be in a different zone when he's around Sai. I can't stand Pakhi but Virat is to be blamed for leading her on, rn knowingly after her intentions being clear to him. She's not wrong to misinterpret when Virat clearly doesn't draw a line with her when she's always tried invading his personal space. It's Virat doesn't let go off Pakhi completely doesn't matter if he feels nothing for her romantically. He always ends up involving her in a way & then expects/wants Sai to stay with him and reciprocate his romantic advances & feelings. What a badly written lousy hopeless character.

It was not needed at all.. Like I have said again and again.. In their quest to accommodate the third lead they have totally totally destroyed Virat.. Virat's distraction during his first hug with Sai was uncalled.. Its unfair to both Sai and Sairat fans..

Watching this show from Sai’s POV now. SaiRat has been completely ruined for me. So I’m stress free.I know they’ll bring in his redemption. But it’s rinse repeat forgive forget analogy and it will continue. He’s beyond redemption for me. My POV strictly.

Please share y'alls views guys. Although I've stopped watching the show. Just goes through clips in the HT on twitter or sometimes on my Insta search explorer.

As an ardent admirer of Sai Joshi and Sairat,I felt cheated. Sairat fans got cheated. My girl Sai Joshi got cheated by Virat’s behaviour. I could not enjoy the first hug courtesy Virat. I feel distressed and sad. So thanking Patralekha meant more for him than relishing the heartfelt hug with her whom he calls his love at present.

That hand holding scene was an poor execution.

I didn't felt Virat is giving mixed feelings to Pakhi or something like that, he was so happy that their plan worked out, Sairat hugged and exchanged their happiness, Virat also felt it's their team work made it happen so he wanted to thank Pakhi, even if Sai was facing this side she would have noticed Pakhi leaving and stopped her to thank her breaking from the hug.... It's just that holding hand to stop could have been avoided, instead he could have called out her and thanked.

I agree he need not have held Pakhi's hands.

About the precious moment, what I think is that it was more of an emotional moment than a romantic one. He wanted to thank or share his happiness with Sai first that their plan worked. And that plan was also possible because Pakhi had agreed to play the role of Devi. I am also unhappy about Pakhi playing this role or the way they convinced her to play this role, but we are all made to accept whatever they give us. So I have realised that I am in a position where I watch amd criticise or quit the show for my own sanity.

Coming back to this scene, I wrote the below in another post too. This is my interpretation of the scene. This doesn't mean I am happy with the scene or the makers or even what Virat did.

He probably felt that Pakhi was crying because he doesn't care about her contribution and only cared about Sai's contribution. He probably thought that she shouldn't get upset thinking he would praise only his wife. Hence he felt a need, felt an urgency to thank her. I gave it a thought and I think he wanted to thank her right away, right after she helped him, was only right on his part to give her the credit she deserved. As much as he was thankful to Sai to have helped him uniting his sister with her daughter, he felt thankful that Pakhi went out of her way, kept her ego aside, kept her bitterness for Sai aside and acted in the skit with Sai.

So, if we look at it from a brother's pov, not as Virat who is husband of Sai or not as one Pakhi still has feelings for, it was an emotional moment for a brother who wanted to thank people who helped him in bringing happiness in his sister's life. He could see that Pakhi was walking away thinking that her contribution might mean nothing to him compared to his wife's contribution. He has always heard her say that he only values his wife, so I guess, he wanted to let her know that he does appreciate her efforts, her contribution and it is not like he would ignore her efforts because he is appreciating his wife.

I am not sure if the makers wanted to make us look at scene as below. This is the whole storyline.

He will have his wife Sai in his arms in other words she will reside in his heart but at the same time, he will not forget his promise made to his friend, that he would always be there for her as his friend.

I personally was shocked to read that update on Twitter and didn't like the scene one bit. I was also surprised that the hand hold scene was longer than what it should have been even if they decided to give one.

I agree that he has to draw strict lines with her. I have also mentioned on your other post as how I would expect him to be or how any spouse should/would behave. This could give wrong signals to Pakhi, she could think that he does value her. My opinion is different compared to many. When I say this could give wrong signals to Pakhi, it doesn't mean that Pakhi will think he has feelings for her, I feel many things at this point. I am trying to think how Pakhi might interpret this action of his.

- Pakhi could think that Virat has something for Sai but even then cares about her, her hurt and values her.

- she could think that he is may be confused with his feelings and is caught between Sai the wife and her due to his morals.

- she could think that he and Sai are comfortable with each other that they hugged this way and they are progressing in their relationship. She has also witnessed them almost kissing on the day of Holi and in his room the other day. In his room she knew that Sai didn't know that he was about to kiss but on the day of holi, Sai's eyes were not closed.

- she could think that he is feeling guilty to have broken his promise.

- One most important thing that Virat is letting Pakhi know the way he behaves with her is that he is not mad at her even after he has come to know that she has feelings for him.

- This means that she won't fear him, it looks like though he has told her not to think anything like that, he is cool about the whole situatuon and wouldn't make it an issue.

- This means that she wouldn't think twice before doing anything in the future because she is now aware that he wouldn't make it an isssue or do anything about it. She could get more bold.

- He has indirectly given her more courage.

- He has indirectly let her have hopes/boosted het hopes that she can pursue him and can keep trying to convince him to accept her than backing off.

All these are not just due to the hand holding, such thoughts can get built in her head due to his behavior with her from the time he had requested her to participate in the skit and can get built in future if he doesn't put an end to what he is doing now.

I know that he had promised to be as a friend for her, he does want to, also because Samrat is also not there, but it is not right to be this friendly with her when he knows that she has feelings for him. He has to draw clear boundaries with her, otherwise only God can save his life or marriage.

Everything is in our own hands, we can make it or destroy it. This guy is failing to realise that it is only going to destroy his life along with Sai's and Pakhi's too.

He is not looking or thinking before acting and letting emotions take control of his actions in such a sensitive matter too. It involves three lives and his one wrong move can spoil lives of all 3 people. It is not like Pakhi's life is not spoilt already, but she will be spoiling it even further if she is not warned the way she should be. Him letting her know who she is or that she shouldn't bring the past will not help him, he needs to put an end to it, has to find a solution for the problem, has to take it more seriously. He is clearly underestimating the issue.

@bold I agree. It is idiotic of him to have expectations from Sai when he is ruining things in some way or the other. So far, Pakhi was successful in creating a rift or ensuring Sai's walls are up and his silence was adding up to it but now, this behavior of his will only accelerate the issue and push Sai away, rightly so. He is being irrational.

Virat still has a soft corner for Patralekha. Even if they try to redeem Virat, Sairat was ruined for me after Virat's behaviour . Virakhi is the perfect couple. Sayi can have a better man in her life or no one at all.😒
