I don't make independent posts very often. i just watched the episode, and I felt today, I had to say exactly what I saw and processed. My disclaimer is that today's episode might not stop me from getting frustrated in the future and make me stop watching Ghum after a point.
This is a post, just for today:
I almost cried during the skit. I cried alongwith Aai and Sonali. The script, designed to make a little girl accept her mentally challenged mother was beautifully written. Virat's narration, the way he conducted himself and his delivery was super. The lines written, for once, made sense and tugged at the heartstrings:
- Pining for her baby, the Parimaa became a baby herself..
- Voh apne aap mein kho gayi, apni duniya mein rehne lagi (the dialogue is not exact, I'll need a second watch to write the correct lines)
Devi a,k,a Mitali's acting and the little girl Harinee a;k;a hirwaa, stole the show. Harinee's slow realisation, her constant glances at Devi, it was all done beautifully.
Sonali crying and glaring at Omi in between for committing such a grave sin. Karishma and Mohit's getting emotional, yet continuing the act. The second generation Chawans can be a great mix of traditional and modern upbringing. We saw the beginnings of that today.
And now, did you all really think I was so impressed because of my titleđ? And I would have nothing to say about the great hug?? đ
I watch the show for Sairat, There's no way I am going to reserve my comments. So here goes:
- The Sakhi hug had more tension than Sairat đ¤Ł. The way they pulled apart awkwardly. hey Bhagwan!
- The Sairat was completely spontaneous. It was a tight hug, both moving together in the intensity of the hug, Virat almost lifted her into the hug!! I loved that it was so smooth and organic. Everyone saw it, everyone noticed it.
- The hand hold - ok it was unnecessary. Totally unnecessary. Virat could have called out to her. He had to hold her hand, and she noticed it. Now did Virat intend anything? he wants to have a relationship with her like friends, working together to achieve the family's goals. From his perspective, he is clear in his head. That's what I felt. He was happy she participated.
- First off, Devi's impersonation was strictly ok. Mitali never ever puts her tongue in and out, like the caricatures we are used to in movies and TV!! I think the dialogue delivery was by Mitali but I am not going to say anything because we might soon get a disclaimer and I don't want to give it any attention. It was ok in parts and not so great in parts.
- Pakhi started smiling maniacally when Virat thanked her. Now therein lies the problem. How much ever, the cast try to brush off, Pakhi as victim, what is actually shown is she is delusional and obsessed. Virat by giving her attention, even a little bit, is feeding that delusion.
Am not going to dwell on it further because there are lots of posts on his action.
My point being, let's focus on the fact that the skit was beautifully done. It made one cry. Let's not focus on Sairat, despite their hug and focus on the good parts of today.
Virat is going to pay for his foolishness and obtuseness. And I will wait to watch it.
Like Siya said, it is a creative call to include Pakhi in everything. It is going to impact them if they continue like this. Let's not get provoked today, guys. let them not get to provoke us every day.
I took a break for 2 days and i am fine today.
Disclaimer: I ship Sairat. It's an arduous journey, no doubt. But when they're together, they are fire, both of them.
