I find Essa & Nawera cringy, as well as Maham & Dawar. All the couple scenes are so forced.

Maybe he lost weight to look younger.

Maham is desperate to stop any of her sisters from getting married to Essa. Essa might correct everyone and say he wants to marry Nawera. Maham then will stage a situation to accuse Nawera & Dawar of an affair.

He needs to put on some weight

Drama serial Mohlat has explored themes of second marriages, greed, and competitiveness among siblings with more than a dozen episodes so far.

Moving forward with its 16th episode slated to air tonight, time is here for the oppressed characters to heal a bit. Starring Bushra Ansari as a matriarch, Talat is now extending some courtesy to her niece, Nawera (Komal Aziz), who has been blamed all her life for her father’s second marriage which took place in hopes of having a son.

Although this sudden change in Talat comes in a bid to offend her overly ambitious daughter-in-law, Maham (Kinza Hashmi), Mohlat’s fans are finding it refreshing to see the exploiter being exploited for once.

Maham may have carved out a lavish lifestyle for herself by negotiating with her family and in-laws as if her life depended on it, she isn’t willing to let her sisters benefit from it. Given this inability to be empathetic, the last thing she wants is seeing any of her sisters marry someone wealthier than her husband.

Although Dawar (Sami Khan) fails to see through his wife’s greed, his paternal cousin, Essa (Usama Khan), already has Maham all figured out. He is also enchanted by Nawera’s innocence who has never enjoyed the same privilege her elder sisters still do.

Mohlat may have portrayed how women end up with self-defeating attempts by blaming one another for their unfulfilled aspirations, but Sabeena Farooq plays a much inspiring character of Rida, a role model for all sisters who could really make a difference in the society with their unconditional support to one another.

Sabeena farooq was live on insta just now. She said Rida's character is a little tomboyish, and we will find out in tomorrow's episode if Rida has cancer or not.

I simply cringe seein Sami in this show. I so wish that he wasn’t a part of this crappy show. He is literally playing the worst character of the show. Why Sami whyyy? 😵

Being a girl myself, this is the first time this kind of logic is being presented to me of a daughter not wanting her own sisters to marry better than her..What even. 🤔

I am just watching this show for the unintentional comedy that it offers through it’s exaggerated emotions and situations. 😆 I would have enjoyed it better if Sami hadn’t been a part of it though.

I have seen this concept done before in India & pakistan, clichéd.

Remember the drama Maat? It was a better version of sister rivalry.

Haven’t watched that drama yet though I did hear about it. Sister rivalry is one thing but one sister not wanting another sister to marry higher than her is a bit brand new concept for me.😆

@Bold: Though I keep warning myself how I am risking my IQ falling a couple of points down with every episode. Hope it won’t fall so down that we end up needing brain surgery by the end of the show. 🤣

😆 like the slap aur har choti baat ko bada banaker phone call aur secret meetings karna taki aur complications ho story mein

I think have seen this in other pakistani dramas as well , there is a plethora of them.
