I wonder if Devi Sabherwal's origin are humble too, or is she from royal bloodline? Always looking down at others and i strongly feels this whole sabherwal ladies do not work bla bla comes from her. She is the matriarch afterall.

Tej had talked abt his own mother on the day Devi was fretful after Shaurya described his ideal life partner...and Tej described his mom as someone not high class.

Agreed. I do get this thought too about Devi’s background. And I guess it’s her mentality of women of the Sabherwal Mansion not working. She stays at home and can feed Tej with wrong information which he will believe.
We can clearly see how Tej takes decisions without cross checking facts. Rustication being one of them. The teacher and Alok said Anokhi cheated and Tej rusticated Anokhi. So, I do feel that Devi is the main manipulator here.

She manipulated and tricked Shaan too to divorce Aastha. Reason being she’s outspoken and a threat to her and her position in SM. The day Shaurya knows the truth, her game ends. She took the decision to throw these ladies out of the house on her own and even got Shaurya engaged without even asking his parents or let’s forget that. She didn’t even ask Tej or anyone else. Not even Shaurya. She just imposed her thoughts and beliefs which she has been doing on everyone possibly.

It took her years to reach where she is.

It will be a Herculean task to bring her downfall. She might have other tricks and secret weapons up her sleeves. Ain't gonna accept defeat easily this Badi Maa.
