Dunno- lots of theories being floated around, but I think the most logical one is what I quoted. It's only a 6 month one though.

They're currently shooting at some resort in Diu

Perhaps they've come to know that shootings may not resume post June 1, or are unable to come back to Mumbai.

To do more episodes in Diu, they need to show some function at the resort. So probably the engagement of Rhea-Ahaan at the venue.

Don't think so, but then I haven't watched all his serials. Even here, his character is fairly reserved- he doesn't really smile.

Wiki seems to suggest that his last before IPZN (opposite Riddhima Pandit) was a "a young, fun loving but smart scientist" though!
