In an ideal scenario, Virat would be jailed with charges of domestic violence and Sai would report if, not just the manhandling during PD Sir fiasco but also throwing her out at midnight and denying her food both times.

So whitewashing Kaku and letting her get away with her crimes doesn’t seem to break the pattern ghum follows in brushing trauma / abuse under the carpet. Sai didn’t report this just how she didn’t do it to Virat. Also, it’s not her call. Pulkit has to do it.

Also, not comparing devi’s trauma to sai’s because you cannot compare one person’s pain to that of another, it’s unique to the individual.

Violent behaviour is any behaviour that causes another person any injury to the body that interferes with a person’s health or comfort, or that places them in fear of being injured. The injury only has to be slight – it can include pain or bruising.

Violent behaviour is an offence and can carry very serious penalties.

I checked India’s legal aid service : Any abuse, be it physical, verbal, economic or sexual is covered under Section 498A.

The complaint registered against an offender makes it a non-bailable one, ensuring a woman's safety and protection from further abuse. The acts of violence are not limited to physical brutality, but also other forms of abuse like verbal, economic, emotional and sexual.

There’s no doubt what Sai, Devi and Aai endured was abuse. No comparisons on the trauma because it can’t be compared. If we try to bring in logic & reality 3/4th of Chavan Nivas would be in Jail including Virat.

My biggest issue with the track was them making Virat do all of these. Him being a police officer incharge of women’s safety risking Sai & Usha Maushi’s safety was shameful. They shouldn’t have shown him as a police officer in that case. Even with Omi he let go off him because of Sonali’s tears. Well no wonder professionals hate ITV for their depiction.

But this is ITV & they redeem characters and I don’t mind that at all. I believe shows are also a reflection of the society we live in. If it was irl Sai shouldn’t have gone back. But since its fiction they are kind of giving him a believable redemption. He is repenting his mistakes but I don’t see Sai’s trauma being addressed anywhere. Well again compared to what we get in ITV this is still better. Also they have shown certain good qualities in him too. But is Virat guilty of domestic violence, manhandling and denying Sai basic necessities? Yes. But he us getting redeemed and I will accept it for the sake of the show. Waiting to see growth in him. I accept fictional characters for the way they are. I accept Virat too with all these flaws but his extreme actions are indigestible for me

Kaku- She is pure evil. She drugged and abused her own daughter. Kaku, Ninand and Omi should be in jail even for the show’s sake. But they are whitewashing all of them already. So no hopes

Exactly my point. This is fiction b/c irl someone like Sai wouldn’t go back and Virat is definitely guilty. Since they’re showing Virat’s redemption, they’ll show Kaku’s in time too. Ah it makes me happy when I find like minded people here 😭❤️
