Why do they show Randheer getting slapped again and again? In 1947 Mogar bua slapped him in the market , then Lalaji slapped him though he was going to slap Uday. Now Bhanu is slapping him in front of everyone. These are not the sensibilities of 1940s-50s. In those days an influential family's heir like Randheer Raizaida would have been given full respect and being a patriarchal society, in 1947 or even today- slapping a potential groom is unheard of. Randheer is shown to be a progressive thinking boy in 1947 and so he went all the way to impress and get Lalaji's blessings although he did not have to since the roka was done and marriage would have taken place. But for him Amrit's happiness was paramount even then and so it is now. Amrit repeatedly asks him to leave even after he has done so much for her. but he stays on getting insulted again and again. This is reducing the character to a weak hero, failing his strong past, and sending wrong signals that a guy giving full respect to his love's respect and happiness is wrong. The entire story is revolving around Veer, whos is making puppets of them all, justifying a weak character's bad past.

So after the 'vaada' queen we have now the 'ehsan' guy. Veer is steadily taking away Randheer's support system by giving 'ehsans'. Like it or not Uday and Vashma are now indebted to Veer.

This being ITV so any twist can happen and so Veer may not end up marrying Amrit. For all her faults Saroj has a valid point. Even thought it's a fake marriage Amrit has spent time in that house/room and nothing can change it. Amrit will be called characterless if she leaves Veer now.

Ofcourse they are showing a wrong example by getting a girl married to a guy who has blackmailed her, physically tortured her and who knows she is in love with another guy (who coincidentally is nearby) and was almost married to him. Nothing new for this production house after all they are the one's who created Pehredaar Piya Ki and showed a minor boy getting married. Nothing new in ITV also.

Too much to expect, but all I wish for is that Randheer's character be given some spine. Once he knows that he is the long lost son of Rani Ma, he thanks her for giving birth to him and walks off. Rani Maa and others should know how her dear son Veer blackmailed a girl and faked the marriage. They should also know that Amrit and Randheer loved each other. Veer can marry Amrit on the sly but should always live with the guilt that he has now destroyed his own brother's love life. If they show this much I would be happy.

As for Randheer they can get a new character for him/ show him with Radha (get Pranali for a couple of episodes) or even show him with Anaita (now that her father is Rani Maa's political rival). He just needs to be away from this place. Uday and Vashma can choose Veer or Randheer. No blame if they make either choice.
