I think very briefly she sympathised with Sai and then when Virat showed Sai support, she reverted back to toxity.

Virat is Pakhis obsession and Sai is in the way of what she deems to be hers, so for that reason and that reason alone she hates Sai.

If Sai was a regular person who was not associated with Virat in an intimate way, I actually genuinely believe she would have liked Sai. I remember early on, in the beginning episodes when Kamal Sir had passed away Virat was telling Pakhi about Sai, she sympathised with her then as well.

She knows Virat more thsn anyone ine the family...while in totality she has spend more hours with Sai than Virat actually.. in fact she has spent the least time with Virat in this family...😆

She was like I came here to get the sympathy and this lady stole it. Basically Pakhi's eyes are blinded and her mind is not functioning. who will make a BIL nominee otherwise. It is so wierd.

I replied somewhere else also, she just wants to win over Sai. At this point, she knows Virat will never be hers. So she is creeping Sai out of this marriage. Sai said a few things which made Pakhi emotional for a while actually.

Pakhi first was shocked and confused when Sai said that she is lucky to have both Mom and Dad. She couldn’t understand why Sai was preaching her that she should be thankful to have both the parents.

When Sai said no one can take the place of parents and how only parents can love and care their children selflessly, Pakhi went into thoughts. It was actually making a little sense to Pakhi when Sai said that no one can have rights on you as much as your parents.

The way I see the above few sentences, it actually showed a Pakhi who was in pain, who needed someone to love her, care for her. She has been living a very lonely life and is also behind someone who doesn’t reciprocate her feelings, who has clearly said that there is no place for her in his heart, who has conveyed through his words and actions that he cares for his wife. She could feel that Sai was indeed right when she said that there can be no one else like parents who can care for them selflessly. When Sai said no one has so much rights on a person more than one’s parents, at that moment Pakhi knew that she was giving Virat a lot of power to control her and her life, she could sense that she shouldn’t be giving him so much rights or power or that position in her life to affect her. It looked like she could relate with Sai’s words because she has given Virat so much power, that she is in this state now, she is in pain.

The minute Sai said “Mere Aai aur Baba donon nahi haina” Pakhi could see where this was all coming from, how and why Sai is able to think such big things. She did feel bad for Sai actually and in fact when Sai said that Pakhi or Virat can’t understand her pain, she even nodded her head feeling Sai’s pain, feeling Sai’s loneliness, Pakhi empathised with Sai. She did feel sorry for Sai when Sai said that you guys won’t be able to understand this pain.

Unfortunately, she disliked, disapproved Virat empathising with Sai, she didn’t like the care and concern in his voice for Sai. She yearns it for herself. She has always tried to gain his attention or sympathy by talking about her loneliness but she could not get this understanding from Virat which he was extending to Sai. She was shocked on the day they were about to go to Ladakh when Virat had said that just like Pakhi, even Sai is hurt, Sai is depressed and has a void in her life after her Dad’s death. She just cannot accept him even feeling bad or sympathising for any girl other than her.

And then back was the vile Pakhi after she saw Virat’s care and concern for Sai. The other feelings were short lived, her jealousy overtook or overpowered all the other emotions of hers. And at the end, she had as usual showed all the anger on Sai.

actually I didn’t observe pakhis expressions much. May be I will watch again! Yeah she is capable of being empathetic. In Shivani buas case also she did feel bad for her!
