I really want to know what Raghav is thinking about her. Is he doing all this because this is what Pallavi wants? Or because he understood her pain?

Yes thank you...its important we see her life from her perspective, she is not just a shell figure to entertain RR. I am sure Vijay deshmukh will apologize to her soon after these efforts.

To answer your last question. I think RR is doing all this because he realizes its her relationships that keep her afloat and give her spirit in life. He also saw her bonding with his mother..Pallavi has never judged Amma or Keerthi by RR bad actions. Its true that his family is with him today due to Pallavi. He being very attached to his mother, now has understood Pallavis situation.

Well she is obsessing because she has lost them due to RR defiling her and marrying her by force. Lets keep in mind that she married RR for Nikhil..for her family.

She would not have obsessed if the wedding was normal with everyone's consent and she still had thier blessings.

So agree with you.. just because RR wants to rectify his mistakes.. Raos have given her respect and apnapan.. doesn't mean she'll forget her family, stop being emotional for them or go n fight with them.. except su and her daughter she shared beautiful bond with everyone else.. she is just craving for that.. n there's nothing wrong in it.. she cannot get that close to Raos in just a week of wedding..

What has kirti done why can’t she interact with her about mms

We don’t expect her to forget the family deshmukh but instead of doing something she is sobbing that’s unusual of pallu that’s irritating us

Why the story revolves only on D family but not rao’s that’s irritating they need to balance the family because she is in between the family past and present

I understand that I have no problems in her craving but sobbing for them is irritating were is firebrand in her

Raghu can’t be forgiven period I want him to redeem

But makers are irritating us only by showing dfamily and neglecting rao’s that’s why the irritating lies

Balance is needed here

Why pallu didn’t even speak to kirti about mms why she is biased that’s what irritating us

Just like RR was shown to be utter idiot by trying to marry for Amma, a girl he does not like nor doesn't even know she was married earlier. His blind love for Amma made him so crazy he married Pallavi immediately in a day by blackmail? If we can accept that and gush over RR..then we can accept Pallavis love for her family.

I see lots of people saying that she should only care for Aai and Nikhil since they stood with her at times. But gals..if your dad got angry with you would you consider that he doesn't love you ? Parents who have showered you with love also have a right to get a angry with you . And yes making Pallavi leave home was wrong on his part but Pallavi was his pride. His sons memory. He acted on impulse. We don't start unloving people just because they are angry with us. In fact because Pallavi understands this she was able to give Raghav a second chance.

We see so many honor killings and unjustifiable acts even in so called high society by families on girls. Here , I have always found this middle class family quite forward in treating thier DIL widow like a family member and letting her be involved with the household, instead of sending her back to Maika. Also they let her participate openly in haldi kumkum functions which frankly no one let's widows participate in , in reality. We may have idealistic expectations of society ...but society is not idealistic. This is the society that would easily blame the DIL for son's death and call her manhoos. But compared to all that Sharda and Vijay were much better parents in law. Point is Pallavi was happier with them. She felt like it was her duty to hold that family after Mandars death and Raghav took her role away by force...so her angst is justified and so her love. I

Its very silly to think that we should love only those family members that love us and discard anyone that doesn't love us from our life. Real life does not work like that. If it not working out with some family members we try to make efforts and work it out. Making efforts being the key. Discarding people is very easy...but in that way one will end up discarding everybody because people are going to disappoint you at some point in life.

I totally relate to Pallavi's loyalty to the family she considers hers. Baba has been shown to be angry lately but if you see episodes from beginning he even gives her a token note award that he would have given his son . He is justified in his anger too in a way..who will forgive if thier daughter marries without telling them. Will Raghav forgive if Keerthi she marries without telling him?

It takes a while for embittered relations to be normal again. And making effort is the key..so I am glad RR is making that effort for her since he caused all this.

We all married women have our maika..if our own people do not behave well with us for any reason do we break the relationship? Do we not long for things to back to normal?

In fact more than Deshmukhs I find Amma's character weird. Just because somebody appears broad minded does not mean they are right. She had issues with her son..which she should have made efforts to bridge..she is the mom and elder one there..its her job to understand her son and rectify him..instead she wants to bring a bahu who will " disciple" and "sudharo" her son. That was very dumb in my opinion. Especially when a lot of bitterness in RR is caused due to lack of acceptance from his mother. Then..she knows Pallavi is a widow but does not inform her son about it. What was that!! He also does not do his homework..and both mom and son bring Pallavi into thier home as if she is some cattle. "Sorry" does not take away from the fact that it was due to Amma that Raghav did all this.

I find Deshmukhs to be much more realistic representation of typical middle class...they don't hurt people on the name of being " open minded" . They are what they are. I find the Raos..Amma and Keerthi to be unrealistic and unrelatable frankly.

I think people are so focused on Raghvi that any characters who do not support Raghvi become unrelatable to them. But hero and heroine have families where they came from and thier attachment to those is a part of thier life!

Loving the current track !

Thank you so much for this post. I have not been able to understand all the comments against Pallavi who sees Deshmuks as her own family. You have responded by way of comparing to reality which I really like.

For me I was actually thinking back to the promos. I mentioned somewhere before that the initial promos, when the serial started, all showed the story to be about Pallavi, with Raghav in the background. So I actually went back and checked all the articles out around that time. They all state similar like the following:

‘’The story of Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali serial revolves around a hardworking widowed women named Pallavi who loves her family very much and sacrifices everything to fulfill all their needs. She is very scared to get married. Later Pallavi meets a local goon and from there the story begins’’. https://www.serialupdates.me/mehndi-hai-rachne-wali-serial-cast-star-plus-new-show-repeat-telecast-timing/

So whilst the show has now very much become ‘The Raghav Rao Show’ (which I have no problem with) if you go back to the initial concept of the show it is supposed to be based around Pallavi and her family, the Deshmukhs. If you also look at the actors/characters listing in some of the articles, Shivangi/Pallavi is listed first. This all therefore makes me think that the producers/writers have capitalised on Sai’s/Raghav’s popularity and as such have forgotten the original concept for Pallavi by not focusing on writing her storylines well, especially with respect to her relationship with the Deshmukhs. They are not going to disappear just because many people don’t like them. They are an integral part of Pallavi’s life, like it or not. Also, for anyone who loves their family so much and maybe even dislikes them from time to time like we all do, varying emotions will come into, It’s only natural especially if you recently re-married under duress and following conflict!

As for the continual comparison with the Raos. I doubt you would get many serial worthy storylines for the two ladies. Keerti has potential but is very bland. I don’t actually understand her purpose. She has made no effort with her own brother but everyone wants Pallavi to discuss the misunderstanding with her. Keerti herself just doesn’t seem bothered. Amma is actually a little better (I’m warning to her as she is trying to guide Raghav and Pallavi a little now) but is very one dimensional in that she sees what’s in it for her, in fact all the Raos are selfish. Also, they are all independent of each other unless there is trouble on their doorsteps and Raghav has to help sort. The Deshmukhs no doubt have their faults too but they are actually more of a typical family unit.

Going back to the storyline, it isn’t about which family Pallavi should be with to provide us with entertainment to keep us happy but a story as per the concept above which means Deshmukhs are here to stay.

I for one just happily watch the story as it enfolds without any expectation nor wish for it to go one way or another.

Consider me in the minority too...🤝

I like the new actor and he is more of expressions than words... The earlier one was too much with everything... I was irritated with his bulging eyes expressions😳

Hi shailu 🙂

I totally agree with your viewpoints about Pallavi's obsession with d- fam....

I have been ranting in EDT as well...

Loving your family is something very natural and great but being obsessed by them is not done...

This applies to Raghav too ofcourse but Raghav time and again have called upon amma and Keerti's mistrust in him and given it back..

Pallavi on the other hand acts like a doormat rather than a real fam member at times...

As you said once she likes serving them and working for them... We get it they have given her the status of a daughter and fight with societal norms of being a widow bit it doesn't mean that you will become a doormat for them.

What about self- respect and standing up for yourself?

Sulu always behaved worst with her, she tried to character- assassinate her and was successful, and let me not talk about mms scam yet she is scot- free.

And mansi was always selfish I bet now if Raghav tried to fix her marriage again she will again become Pallavi's best friend 😠

Only aayi and nikhil are the ones who support her no matter- what..

Its high time she realises the glitches and hypocrisy of her fam rather than seeing them with rose- tinted glasses...
