Had they treated the story with any nuance and decency, I would have sympathised with her.

I’m trying to look at her with unbiased objective lenses now that I’m kinda sorta losing interest in SaiRat

Pakhi as a charecter is not suited for appreciation. She lacks integrity and sense of justice. She is self centered.

Most important she is unsympathetic to pain of others.

In these modern times, she still is lagging behind in keeping a goal for herself and create an identity of her own. Which woman wastes her twenty four hours in kitchen politics? She is educated but not career oriented.

So even if she doesn’t abuse Sai,she is not worthy of acknowledgement in any way.

She wasn’t what she is today before Virat / Sai / SaiRat happened, she was outspoken, independent, and aware of her surroundings. Her jealousy and kitchen politics drama started after the SaiRat first night lipstick mark on Virat’s shirt. Maybe if Sai hadn’t happened, she would’ve raised her voice like she did earlier when Kaku and her had a tiff over her needing permission to go home. In fact she was nice to Sai too when Virat brought her home for the first time.

So I’m saying - what if - she’s completely obvious to Sai, not abusive, and the Pakhi that Virat and we knew before the one we see today, a victim of her circumstances.

I’m putting forward a hypothetical scenario, can swing both ways.

Some charecter traits remain intact in any situation. A kind hearted person remains same despite facing hardships.

There is no reason why Pakhi should neglect her career just because of Sai factor. It is not like that in real life.

Sai issue could influence her behaviour only to some extent not for every move and decision.

Whether a woman wants to be carrier oriented or not is a very personal decision, we don’t shame house wives for being house wives so why is she being targeted for this?

The Pakhi w/o abuse is someone who fell in love with a man, who she thought cheated on her so she decided to move on but later finds out he was waiting for her and hence asks him to marry her, the man says no and promises to never love anyone apart from her with the condition she marries her brother.

As for why she should do such a thing and moral policing on it —

I’m keeping any moral / ethical argument aside because morality differs person to person and it’s not black and white.

The fact that this woman was willing to ruin another man’s life just to stay close to her ‘ex-lover’, who is also her BIL would never sit well with me. She had my sympathy till the moment she blocked Virat’s number. Whatever happened post that has been a consequence of her own actions. Even if Sai wasn’t in the equation and say Samrat was in the picture, would she continue to harbour feelings for her BIL, while having relations with Samrat? Even if Samrat wasn’t in the picture like now, it would still be emotional cheating. The man did nothing to deserve it given he had repeatedly asked her if she was happy with their union.

I dont absolve virat of his role in confusing pp n giving mixed signals initially but even when he has made his stance clear she is still harassing him! so theres no question of sympathizing with her. She needs to stop drowning in self pity and obsessing about an illivit relationship with her BIL- a man she can never have. She is married to samrat. Even if Sai didn't exist n samrat died, virat is not going to marry her. He just made a meaningless promise. She needs to step back n see- does she really want to waste her life pining after a man who has clearly said no to reciprocating her affections now or do something meaningful with her life. She comes from a well to do family, supportive parents who would stand by her if she went back to living with them and is supposed to be "educated" and "independent". But she doesnt act like it at all. She is only petty, selfish, attention seeking, delusional, and vengeful with no sense of right/wrong.

If this is the line of argument why is she being blamed for this alone this? Is Virat not deserving of the same for making a lifetime commitment keeping no one else apart from his brother’s wife in his heart?

I am not moral policing on her priorities for sure.

It is not about hous wives verses working women. How could it be?

Pakhi is well educated and interested in job. That we got to know when she asked Bhavani permission. She is technically competent in searching jobs for Mohit.

Even housewives are doing something or the other these days to become self sufficient, they are developing skills and utilising them in different ways.

So Pakhi could do something or the other..that keeps her occupied.
