I find it strange that she defends the character. If people bash them for being real life couple then I understand her taking a strong stand, but for a characterless character not only she takes a stand, but her fiancé does the same!!
I remember Shahrukh Khan’s interview for his movie Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna and he criticizes the action of his character for cheating on the spouse and goes on to say that if it was real life or the movie had gone further, you would see that they would never be happy in life. But expecting such class from everybody is not practical. I guess that’s why he is Shah rung khan.🤗
