Expensive af place this city, but on occasions like these, it's worth it.

Perhaps the only place in India where there's no market for inverters/generators or even surge protectors!

Any other place in India that receives a fraction of the rain Mumbai does just collapses at the slightest hint of showers.

Goa got hit yesterday/the day before, and there are several folks still without electricity.

Mostly contracted at the vaccine centre then, if she didn't go out elsewhere. 😔

Till they made it online only for 45+ around May 7-8, the centers were an absolute mess social distancing wise here in Mumbai, with some using a token system to allot vaccines (regardless of whether you registered online or not) and folks waiting in line from 5-6am for a token to be given at 9. I'd say it was a greater risk to go and get vaccinated at some of these centres!

Plus antibodies develop some two weeks after the second dose, and even then, it's not a 100% protection against Covid, but is supposed to prevent serious cases.

Mumbai,Maharashtra nd are still in high alert as heavy winds is blowing nd water logging at everywhere.heavy waves coming out from beach into road.nd weather forecast predicted heavy rains also.trees,hording fallen at many places mumbai low areas affected so much flood like situation.nd now cyclone is moving to Gujarat,there also heavy winds nd rains.goa was affected too much.houses,trees fallen,electricity poles fallen down,lights will come after 3-4 days as it will take time to clear all disaster.people have to suffer without lights,.

Watching news now nd situation at goa,Mumbai Maharashtra is very worse.

Seconded- it's the precise reason I didn't attempt fastest finger first when the BMC opened it at select centers in the first week of May.

Would ideally want it at a private hospital (or even a municipal centre) but at a pre-determined time slot, and with perhaps no more than 10 folks around (the lesser the better!).

Looking at the state of supply for both SII and BB, looks like we'll have to wait till July at the minimum.

South Maharashtra (Raigad, Ratnagiri and the Konkan) is pretty badly affected, as is Goa. Read somewhere that more than 1100 houses in Raigad were destroyed. 😭 No water and electricity for days in a pandemic is just terrible!

But our media is primarily Mumbai-Delhi focused, so it'll only warrant a passing mention. 😔

Got to absolutely pray for Gujarat, especially the place where this cyclone makes its landfall.

Edit- KKB and BT folks still in Goa, or have they moved to Hyderabad?
