I completed my rewatch of the 2nd PD track today. It was such a good track. All PD tracks are the best of the story telling in my opinion😆.

The 2nd PD track was basically Adi learning that Imlie has not benefited even an iota from her marriage to Adi. In fact the forced marriage has all but destroyed her life😭. The angst between Adi-Imlie was so delicious in this track- heartbreaking really💔.

You can also see Adi's kashmakash between his conscious actions & subconscious feelings so well. Like you said muh pe gussa tha, baaton main taane the, Imlie ko blame karta tha but uski request ki wajah se sab rituals bhi kar raha tha.

SK & gang were ready with their tamanche to shoot him in this track also when he took Moon's name in that Baba wala ritual. You know what, SK & Meethi would not have minded if Adi had taken any action against the villagers & their family immediately after the forced marriage. In fact they were expecting it. But because of his denial of the truth of the marriage Adi lost his window period of taking action without facing any repercussions from SK. Once Imlie stayed at his home after marriage, SK was never going to leave him without paying for ruining his daughter's life with his life. Iska demo ab jaake milega BS ko😆.

I was 😆 at Meethi & the villagers believing them to be a "happy Kapil" who care for each other by looking at them. And whatever sadu face Adi made during the rituals he was doing his part of supporting Imlie whenever some problems would arise regarding the rituals- like Imlie not bringing their gatbandhan & her MS. It was Adi who covered for them in that situation. He also brought food for her on his own when she said she was not hungry when they had to eat from one plate. He was aware of her trying her best to not let her family involve him in everything but he would also get frustrated the next moment & blame her for it😆.

And I loved the SR sequence to no end. It was so so good. Imlie just couldn't take anymore of his accusations & then the way she made him realise that her life has been ruined because of the forced marriage whereas he still will get to live the life that he planned💔. So much angst. Such sequences are just rare now. Adi not being able to handle this truth, just left even in middle of riots & was once again saved by Imlie.

On his last day you could see that he was really reluctant to leave her & go. But was able to go because of Imlie's reassurance that she would handle everything on her own in PD. And then came the gunshot epis which totally unraveled Adi's suppressed feelings for Imlie. It was in 2nd PD track that Adi-Imlie got bound to eachother I would say at some another level. Their souls got bound to eachother & since then they have not been able to let go of each other for more than a day.

I think by the end of 2nd PD track, Adi had started regretting his marriage to Malini subconsciously. Because after that he started to say that he won't be able to give Imlie any rights on himself even consciously. Before PD track it was he does not want to give Imlie any rights on himself. Such subtle change but it indicates so much internal change. Now he couldn't give Imlie her rights even when he wanted to. Hence his suppression & denial of feelings for Imlie increased & he started to do more PDA & romantic gestures to Malini to prove to himself that he had made the right choice in going ahead with his marriage to her.

The serial has so much rewatch value yaar. The Adi-Imlie relationship journey is so good to analyse because nothing is spoonfed to the audience. There are several layers of actions ongoing at any given time which we have to analyse to truly understand their journey.

Sorry it turned into such a long 2nd PD track review post but I really needed to blurt out my thoughts on these epis😆. I don't think these epis were analysed live by you because I can't find these epi discussion threads in your posts. You started posting your reviews after the gunshot epis I think in the forum. Before that there were hardly any analysis & discussion threads in the forum.

The care that was always there for her became external after this PD track. And Malini was the first one to notice it. He still hid behind calling her antics stupid to cover up his care but it was there for all to see. Starting with picking up her chappals - Imlie was so overwhelmed then.

PD tracks are beautiful because they have always pushed the story forward. Delhi just brings in stagnation or leukemia that is undergoing some memory loss

In fact he ended up telling that receptionist guy to mind his own business rather than clarifying the status of his marriage with Imlie. lol ironically the receptionist was trying to give him sympathy ki aapke saath bahut bura hua but then also Adi protected Imlie and the villagers both.

So yes it would be nice if someone asked him these questions some day and we got a better response than “kuch bhi humare control mein nahin tha” 😆

The truth is that Adi had subconsciously accepted the validity of the marriage with Imlie but couldn’t face it consciously for a long time and created this huge mess coz of that. Lol otherwise there is no logical reason for why he couldn’t move to dissolve his marriage with Imlie on reaching Delhi. He did subconsciously feel responsible for her and couldn’t bring himself to ever officially cut off that link between them on paper....so he decided to just go the route of consciously not accepting it and hoping that meant it didn’t mean anything enough for him to have to solve it legally 😆. What a bailbuddhi.

Bailbhuddhi + zimmedaariyan nibahane ke liye maara jaana..🤣 fact is he accepted it the moment it happened as valid it was beyond his control then but ho toh gayi hai can't deny it but it was too big of a deal to acknowledge it so he kept going the distance to yell and deny ke kuch nahi hai it doesn't mean anything it doesn't exist but it was all sirf awaaz karna sirf Shor karna ke zor zor se bolne se shayad undo ho jaaye jo ho gaya when in reality deep deep he knew kuch undo nahi hoga and had accepted the fate too ke jo bhi hai ab yeh hai but wanted it to vanish somehow magically too caz it was too much of a shock and out of his "control" too haha

@bold: Yes, there was definitely a subconscious shift in Adi after the second PD/gunshot track.....his emotional attachment to Imlie grew exponentially in this phase and you could see him regretting not being able to give Imlie her due rights rather than not WANTING to give her her due rights....which is what the case was in the initial months after the forced marriage. The post 2nd PD track phase was about him trying to maintain his commitment to Malini through overcompensation PDA even as his heart had become more closely linked to Imlie by then.....this phase basically teaches us that all the outwardly romantic gestures in the world fail in front of the genuine emotions that are inside your heart😆......dikhava jitna marzi kar lo, you can't hide from your own self at the end of the day......but Adi did try to swim against that tide as much as he could with all his desperate declarations of love to Malini which were so artificial if anyone actually paid attention....he was saying things which were demonstrably false....lol talking about understanding that didn't remotely exist with Malini...so it was obvious he was fighting his heart quite desperately .....lol only to realize the inevitability of his internal truth in the end.

As for the forum....lol yes, I only joined it after the gunshot epis.....this was a very different place back then with many people criticizing Imlie for still considering Adi her husband after the gunshot track even as he told her he can't give her the rights of a wife.....lol....people had presumed that after that track, Imlie will "set Adi free from the marriage and then he will realize his feelings and choose her"😆......I was the minority voice back then that spoke about how Imlie still considering him her husband was consistent with her belief system and that Kismat convo in the hospital was lovely.

The threads and the forum have come a long way since, needless to say😆

LMAO we'll have to see how the "sacrifice" is actually set up in the epi but for now it's sounding hilarious ki Adi actually tried to sacrifice😆.....that is just NOT his personality and then no wonder he was meant to fail in it🤣.....Imlie se competition karne ki koshish ki lagti hai in sacrifice and Kismat intervened by giraaoing him in gaddha.... to say Aapse na ho paayega, Babusahib.....toh try bhi kyun karte ho😆

Adi being Adi will take this as a BIG Kismat ka ishara again that they aren't meant to be apart😆....but chalo dekhte hain what they talk about after she does his marham patti😆

Word about PD tracks pushing the story forward & Delhi just bringing in stagnation. But before at least the story telling of Delhi track was also logical. These recent Delhi epis have downgraded because of the need to prop up Dementor Didi unnecessarily😡.

Also agree that Adi started to show his care & worry for Imlie more even though it was coated in his daant post gunshot epis & Dementor Didi was the first one to notice it. But she ignored it till it was not affecting his attention on her. But when it started to somehow reduce Adi's attention to her then she started to have issues with it- since the epi where Adi received his journalism award & accidentally showed it to Imlie first. After that she was more alert of any changes in Adi towards Imlie.

This reminds me of the epi when the family sees all the married women jewelleries that the hospital had given them. That time Dementor Didi was so angry on behalf of Imlie at her speculated husband's abandonment of Imlie. Then Imlie was a naive 18 year old girl for her who is so good. How dare someone abandon her😡. And look at her attitude now when it has turned out that Adi was the husband who had abandoned Imlie. Now there is no sympathy or empathy for Imlie. Now she is a vixen who has somehow bhatkaoed Adi from his perfect match i.e. Dementor Didi. She has turned out to be such a hypocrite really a disappointment on all fronts.

I also agree that subconsciously Adi had accepted his marriage to Imlie after it had happened. But because it was forced on him & he felt so out of control, he went into denial & basically ignored it. He just buried his head in the sand about it like if he couldn't see it, it doesn't exist😆.

But you can see in subtle moments as well as sometimes obvious moments that subconsciously Imlie is the one whom he considers his wife & not Dementor Didi. He truly is a bailbuddhi- no two ways about it😆.
