100% agreement. They r doing what they are paid for flawlessly. Rest should be there life. Whatever and however they want to live. Its good to self promote which Sai constantly does. As an actor and in any job u can do that, nothing wrong. But pushing them to paint a picture which u like by anyone be it PH, channels and most of all people who call themselves their fan is really pathetic. On personal note, I hate it.

totally agree with you 👍🏼

I don’t either. They should be left to do as they wish freely. Shivangi is now always asked about her use of IG and being compared to Sai. She is consistent in her reply that it’s not something she is into but she is now trying. She also said her friends ask her this too. I find it sad that there is this expectation us viewers have of how actors should behave to entertain us beyond their work. Yes admire them from afar but that’s it. We ourselves don’t like expectations of us so why expect from them?

As much as I believe in personal space, their occupation is also based hugely on public perception. Interactions and segments are not for nothing, they also attract viewers (I myself have started watching shows simply after watching a cast's iv and segments). Movies have posters, some of them have entire promo tours dedicated to them, but shows can only rely on SM to promote themselves. If the PH or channel is urging them to do their part, it is for the show's benefit and their own. The more they post, the more they interact, the more they stay on in people's minds. I don't think it'd matter much if the show was a typical trp-aunty targeted show, but this one targets a slightly younger audience. For a show that did not have a trp rise even after a shaadi track, it's natural for them to start looking for more effective ways to promote themselves. And SM is, without a doubt, the most effective of them all — or else youtubers and instagrammers would not be paid to act as influencers. It's harsh, but it's also how the world works today.

It's not about "expecting" them to do it really, rather about utilising all the resources for the show's benefit. The leads are both newbies, this is almost a part of the job description 😅

I feel that way too. They seem to have a natural bonding, even with very few scenes.

I understand how it all works today but why force them into it if they are not comfortable with it all. If part of the job I know we have to, sometimes, but even then no one can force you. Outside of work they have a choice. The expectation here is that they feature together, that is what I was referring to. I myself have no expectation to see posts of them together as it makes no difference to me as to whether or not I watch the show or follow them. To me as actors they are individuals and I am more than happy to see them promoting themselves on SM as they wish individually. If they do join forces that’s just a bonus🙂

I purely think it's a marketing strategy for the show. It's required these days, maybe the channel has sent feelers. The leads of 7 and 7.30 pm shows are doing a very good job of promoting themselves so why not Raghvi.

Shivangi is a photographer's delight. I think she shld do more photoshoots. I wonder why our leads are so low key.. There are so many tv stars whose fan following have increased trps or kept the show going. I don't see any reason why these guys are so shy in the first place.

Its necessary to bond with your co stars but in this age and time, SM plays a huge role in ones show biz career and these actors make the best use of their online accounts.

Well, my problem is mainly with Shivangi's lack of promotion. I don't really have any complaints with Sai, he does enough 😆 Ofc, I do hope for them to feature together, but that's a bonus. I do stand by what I said, though. Those things always help the show, so I'd imagine anyone who wants more viewership for their work wouldn't have to be "forced" into it — it's more a case of being guided and shown the ropes.

Exactly, so many shows have attracted viewers with mediocre plotlines, simply based on the fan following of their stars. Aur ye humara show hai, Itni acchi story leke baithe hai but promotion ke naam pe dhabba The leads being newbies, I'd expect them to promote even more than the known faces do. The show needs it yaar

I think Shivangi is working on it. She said somewhere some of the cast will guide her so you’ll get your wish at some point. You are right, if for the show then they should at least try, as long as the fans can then distinguish between reel and real. I saw comments today where people are referring to the actors as husband and wife. This to me is crossing the lines.
