I just hope CVs have planned a 'nail-biting' reveal into Virat's reasoning as to why he is reluctant to address this aspect to Sai. Or are we supposed to be super-clever and understand Virat's jalebis on our own?

Actually I was waiting for the dialogue that main mohit ko bhai maanti hoon . But Sai for the meaaage across indirectly which the dumb Chavan’s will not understand.

I guess the surprised expression came from his disappointment in her inability to see his intentions. He has been unable to make things clear to Sai about his equation despite Sai’s accusations at various occasions. But he expects her to understand for herself about his equation with pakhi. Duh!

But more so after going through so much and the way the have been with each other lately, and also the way he has been shutting up Pakhi he was hoping Sai would atleast not doubt his relationship with Pakhi

Even if it was just friendship "now" or just "bade bhai ki biwi" now.. the kind of talk they had , the kind of talk he had with Sai w.r.t. PP, the past they had, the way PP talks to him and he shrugs her, can it all be equated to what Mohit and Sai have for each other in any any world? There was no reason for this shock, even if he has no feelings for Pakhi, because what Mohit and Sai have for each other can never be shared between Pakhi and him for obvious reasons... They are more like siblings to each other. Mohit has called Sai is younger sister in one episode... Shock ka reason ab show banane wale hi sikha de ..

Care and concern toh I know now clearly 🤣

if virat would have not be injured then yeh ho jta because of sai as a charcter jaise hai .she was shown a bit low during this zillat area confrontation because all hyena were pouncing on them and she might be considering virat health

So today also him standing shocked served no purpose. But I am assuming just like how he told Sai during Ladakh track that there's nothing between him and pakhi he wants her to believe that. He has no feelings anyway so for him Pakhi is her Vahini only. But clearly that's not the case for Pakhi. Hence Sai countered when her relationship with Mohit was compared to Virat and Pakhi. Also, I think he was a bit scared from the fact that what if Sai brings up Pakhi and his whatever past just like during PD fiasco. It wouldn't have left a good impression for either of them in front of the family. Hence the shock.

True. From Virat's point of view he has no feelings whatsoever for Pakhi so therefore he was shocked. We can't blame both the people if one person is not fully involved. Yes, Pakhi has evil intentions but it's not the same with Virat. And, Virat will not bring out the truth because he knows Kaku and her gang will never believe him since Pakhi holds a special place in their hearts. So, it's better to keep everything under the wraps for the time being.
