This is something that confused me as well. But one thing is evident Virat has absolutely nothing to do with Pakhis obsession at this point. So even in the hospital, Virat asked Sai idk whats pakhis problem? It was confusing because a day before Pakhi declared Virat is her saccha pyaar. So today also him standing shocked served no purpose. But I am assuming just like how he told Sai during Ladakh track that there's nothing between him and pakhi he wants her to believe that. He has no feelings anyway so for him Pakhi is her Vahini only. But clearly that's not the case for Pakhi. Hence Sai countered when her relationship with Mohit was compared to Virat and Pakhi. Also, I think he was a bit scared from the fact that what if Sai brings up Pakhi and his whatever past just like during PD fiasco. It wouldn't have left a good impression for either of them in front of the family. Hence the shock.

@bold Yes, possibly he was scared that Sai may create a similar uncomfortable situation in front of the family (as during PD lunch fiasco).

His comment in the hospital wondering why Pakhi was behaving the way she was was super weird. Pakhi had made her feelings clear. I don't think it was a blooper because he has been consistently weird about the issue. I can only assume, he is trying to hide their past from Sai. Why? May be it's too uncomfortable for him to deal with since Pakhi is his bhabhi and Sai, Virat and Pakhi are living under the same roof. Or perhaps he interprets it as Sai implying something close to an emotional EMA with Pakhi. Maybe we'll get to know later.

To elaborate, Sai compared with Pakhi and said her relationship with Mohit is not like Pakhi-Virat.

Sai is obviously always speaks from her hurt of being in a loveless marriage. But, perhaps, Virat interprets her words as her insinuating that Virat is having, if not a full feldged emotional EMA, something that is close to the line? For Virat, who is concious of maintaining the maryada of relationships, that is sacrilegious.

Even in hospital he was confused Pakhi aise kyu kar rahi hai. Mujhe samjh mein nahin aa raha hai. Sai has to cut him out saying aap chodiye na😁. Yes Viru boy you just forget it man. You'll never understand 😂

True. Only audience are bewakoof aur dirty minded hai to do beizzati of pavitra dosti. Sometimes I wonder whether the person who writes dialogues for Sai and Pakhi are same or not. Because one looks sane and the other looks completely insane like polar opposites.

For instance if you see the fight when Ladakh was cancelled, and when he told PP what Sai thinks, he had a disgusted look on his face informing PP about Sai's galatfehmi.. However it turned out to be true right.. PP has feelings for Virat and he knows that? Then why be surprised? Just because he considers her his bade bhai ki wife, doesnt change the fact that she is still in love with him and he knows that and he had some feelings for her back then...which is not in any which way equivalent to the feelings Mohit has for Sai or vice-versa..

Yes I understand him being uncomfortable bringing up the past given Pakhi is his Vahini. But Sai & his relationship is getting affected by it & Pakhi is imposing her frustration on Sai. There’s no progress unless & until he acknowledges and owns up his past. He can’t deny it just like how he did during Ladakh fight. Now that he knows Pakhis intentions he should at least remember this is what Sai always used to point out, this is what made her uncomfortable. Him running away isn’t doing any good. He has a past however stupid the infatuation was. Its his responsibility to clear it out Sai. Because for her its still a deal- loveless marriage. He can’t expect her go understand his romantic gestures or read his mind without clarifying Pakhi. He built it up in the 1st place
