Exactly, I was thinking of Shrenu Parikh in the role of Pakhi. She was stupendous as Jhanvi. We could empathize with her and looked forward to her nautaki. The current actress is such a let down and has huge screen time. I feel I will leave the show just because of her!!

May be it's the actress or may be Virat's words actually have no importance but no matter what insults Virat do, use farak hi nahi padta. Her expressions are like "how could you!"

He still let a ton of insult towards Sai slide. He's still an idiot to think Pakhi is mature and truthful. And he probably won't ever figure out the letter or kidnapping, so his character will never have my full respect.

A good husband would tell Pakhi and Bhavani to STFU as soon as they opened their stupid mouths.

I get ur point but I thought the way virat stood for sai and aai is step up from before and satisfying for now.

He is someone who likes calm and peace and tries to avoid arguments ans confrontation which can be seen in beginning episodes. But now he is standing for them in very concrete manner which is a huge improvement in virat's character. I am not saying virat is right all the time which he is not and his behavior prior was very disappointing as well. But his quality to repent and apologize and rectify his mistakes is a quality to appreciate and deserves a chance (not forgive right away) to gain our trust and love.

About asking pakhi and Kaku to shut up, he has limitations as he was raised in the family and if u notice in beginning episodes, Kaku believes him to be her son instead of ashwini and is very possessive about him. He works around that and gives respect to Kaku and ashwini. Similarly, here he is unaware of thr truth but still reprimands them.

With pakhi, he is being very clear about his intentions and their relationship status. He also is maintaining thr respect for her by not disclosing everything in front of everyone as it will lead to embarrassing situations especially when samrat comes back according to him. So he is just thinking about those and maintaining the respect but still reprimand her for talking about his aai not once but twice (when pakhi asks him to eat food with her in his bedroom after kicking out sai).

Also, someone always defending other makes the other person feel defenseless. Sai is someone who doesn't back down or need anyone to take her side. That is a quality that everyone even virat loves. I agree he needs to set his tone with his family but I think it is thr right amount of supporting as anything more would make sai look weak which is not her characteristics. So I think it is a perfect balance.

Yes! He definitely has come a long way wrt being vocal and going against his family’s wrong doings. But there is still a long way to go, he still talks a very calculated way. There is so much that he could have asked. For all their taunts and accusations there were apt responses, but he is so restrained in his words.
