Queen will always be my favourite movie. Rani was so naive but she accepted people around her as they are. The character rani is completely opposite of what kangana in real life i.e vicious & cruel. But that’s how a true actor is. Sridevi was a introvert in real life but onscreen she could convincingly play a fun loving extrovert character. Acting comes naturally for some people.

I don’t agree that the movie hasn’t aged well. People who loved the movie first time still love it, like me and many of my friends. Queen is a very special movie for me as it had a great impact on my life. Earlier I would never go alone anywhere. After this movie I started going to restaurants & cafe’s alone, even movie theatre I went alone. It was so liberating. I don’t have to depend on my friends or anybody if I want to go somewhere, I can enjoy my own company. In 2017 I even went on a solo trip.

I have a list of movies which I watch when I am feeling low like queen, the secret, eat pray love, etc

Now when I rewatch it,I find that italian chef character very out of the blue and unnecessary. What was the need of that character?I actually liked her n Alexander together. They were cute😳

The chef character was written as Rani's love interest. They had the whole "pehle takraar phir pyar" type of track in the movie. Rani had a crush on him since the start. He was rude to her at first meeting, because she didn't like his food. Then he gave her a chance to earn and become independent. Finally they kissed.

Rani's relationship with Oleksander was purely platonic, but audience shipped them because the actor playing him was much better looking than the actor playing the chef.😆

The movie didn’t age well though. It put me and the entire crowd that I was watching with, to sleep. We all woke up after the movie and realized that the movie was better in the theater. This was years ago right after the movie was released to the OTT, we were all so excited to watch it again as we loved it in the cinemas.

OT: Yes the ending was befitting to the premise of the movie. I remember having to control the urge to clap.

Omg completely agree. I fast forwarded in between it became so boring

That "thank you" in the end was so effective and on the point.

Isn't Rao's character the same as Abhay Deol's character in ZNMD?

Both backed out of their wedding at the last moment because they thought they weren't ready.

But Rao is considered a jerk in Queen because here we are shown the female perspective. While in ZNMD it's considered okay because marriage is a big life decision and we shouldn't be hazy about it.

Backing out of marriage with Kangana is always heroic thing 😆
