Well, honestly we turn a blind eye to all of this. Education or no education, it is happening and that’s the harsh truth. Well educated men also are doing what Vineet did. It’s just most cases go unspoken of because the woman always thinks about Log kya kahenge?

I loved how Anokhi yesterday said ki log tere liye aakar maar nahi khayenge di and that was when she was talking to all the victims directly.
The biggest crime is staying silent and tolerating everything. The makers are showing such a sensitive topic and are getting bashed which clearly shows that people (women themselves) are okay with domestic violence in general.

Anokhi clearly said to her that dusro ki parwah kyun karna I mean koi chahe kuch bhi bole.

And babli is like what society and our relatives gonna think after her divorce ?

Come on when you have already rescue her sister from her own wedding that time where were that relatives and society ?

Exactly. You know when I was in a dark spot in life and took a certain life changing decision, the first thing that crossed my mind was What would everyone think of me but then I knew no one is supposed to live my life and it’s me who has to do it. I still am proud I took a decision which has me at peace and the society doesn’t even care.

It’s just in our mind ki log kya kahenge.

I agree. We do tend to turn a blind eye to this. Education or the lack of it has nothing to do with domestic violence. Most cases go unspoken mainly because either the woman thinks about what the society will say or in certain cases, she is pressurized by her own family to stay quiet.

The biggest crime indeed is staying quiet because that is what gives the abuser the much needed courage to continue with the violence.

Its indeed a disappointment that they are getting bashed for picking up such a sensitive issue.
