Marry in haste and repent at leisure

Today's episode marks the beginning of Raghav's repentance, because there is not going to be any other way he can make amends. This man had not thought any of this through and can spend a lifetime making amends in this flawed marriage.

An icy, sarcastic Pallavi is definitely out of character, but what has she got to lose? I am glad she publicly announced her past because indirectly, each word was a thorn for Raghav's ears. When a man hears of the injustice he has meted out to a woman, he stirs uncomfortably. Pallavi was happy with her in laws (though I don't like them), but she was. This man comes and takes it all away so she has the right to spell it out in clear words for him. Raghav is a tough cookie, so all this may not hit his ears immediately, but it has definitely been registered. He did also become a bit uncomfortable when she mentioned her ex husband and her in laws who she considered as her parents. I am sure he does not care about her ex husband but it seems he felt uneasy because he knows what he's done and that was not what he had anticipated when he went out to destroy her. He does not understand how to deal with all this right now. When the right time comes, he will remember it all and fall.

However, her choice of words is what got me. Pallavi thought this through unlike Raghav who left a devastating storm behind him when he walked out of her house after humiliating her publicly. She, on the other hand, maintained his reputation, or even raised it a notch higher in the eyes of the public. Raghav cares about his image now because his mum is with him. Initially he did not care. Now he has everything to lose. But Pallavi's choice of words was commendable. For those who knew, they saw her icy stares and read through her sarcasm. Those who don't know, don't care too much to read into it too much. The media will probably even sugar coat and dramatize it in Raghav's favor, for all she cares.

She also secured herself the status of his wife publicly because her new husband had all the intentions of ignoring her.

Then comes the scene of decking her up. These two have an intense screen presence when they're together. Shivangi has expressive eyes but today, the only emotion she had for this man was loathe and it's difficult to show that emotion because it requires an actor to not give out any emotion. Fury is easier to show, but not loathe, because in loathe, one loses all emotions. Therefore, I saw her eyes as icy and impenetrable, which is not how Pallavi usually is. She expresses, but not today. Today it was a pure war between her and Raghav. She stared right into his eyes without giving herself out. She put up a fake smile too. Coming to Sai - He is so easy with his eyes that you'd almost see each thought swim through. Just before the song starts, he blinks and his stern faces softens for a few moments and he smiles (that was my favorite exchange between the two), but we all know the smile was not out of happiness. It was more like "bring it on". He isn't loathing, he's wondering and he's calculating his next move by trying to understand her. But this is where he's confused. He does not know how to read this new Pallavi, he cannot understand her and there's a tsunami of information that's already moving in his brain. There's also a slight appreciation or fascination for her guts. He likes gutsy women. Throughout, they both hold each others eyes, one loathing and the other one, wondering and thinking hard. Loved the eye contact maintained throughout the sequence.

The song - I really like that song, so I may be a bit biased here in my assumption of what it was meant to do to us. I also think that "Laal Ishq" was a better choice, but okay, some other time. Clearly, these two are not in love, yet. Ek dil song is between a husband and wife and their last moments together before they die a respectful death. Final but tender moments showcasing the love between two strong individuals who prefer to uphold dignity than to give in to external pressure. In this scenario, all I see is that it just gives us a slight glimpse of the future these two hold. I foresee a tragic future for them, even after they resolve their issues and fall in love. Why? These two are like fire and water. Pallavi is fire and she has this need to be the savior of every person and that, someday, will be her downfall. This is why Aai's dialogues today were important, and she was right - 100%. Raghav is like water, he will change for the better and become a good husband but he will not be able to change Pallavi's self destructive nature (self sacrificing nature). She will change him but he won't be able to change her. Kaku also said that he hopes she changes this man. If she's successful, the fire in her will continue burning, but this time, stronger. Her need to be morally upright regardless of the outcome will be her doom. Her doom will be his doom. And that is when Raghav is going to be entirely helpless because even his immense love will not be enough, all his wealth and status will be useless. These two are definitely so doomed, that's the feeling I got after the decking up scene. Sure, they will be head over heels and it will be intense, but tragedy often follows intense lovers especially when they're not meant to be together for a long time. Or maybe I just read too much šŸ˜†

Amma is annoying me. How did this 360 degree shift come in her? I don't get it. No offence to the actress but I liked the old amma. She looked like a true lioness and in front of her even Raghav looked like a little cub. But oh well, TV šŸ¤”

Well written..The new Pallavi is somewhat a puzzle to Raghav. He is scared now what her next move will be. When there is guilt, there should be fear. Thats Raghav for us.

Pallavi - my first step..go public about the relationship. whats next? she is making a very calculative move this time.

Lovely analysis dear. But Pallavi being fire i don't know because in the first promo itself described Pallavi as Water and Raghav as Fire. Also if you see Pallu is more calm and composed like water and Raghav is compulsive and aggressive like fire. Let's see how it plays out in future.

Great analysis ! šŸ™Œ Though Geeta ma'am is trying super hard to fit in the role but woh feel nahi hain yaar. The old Amma seemed to hold power over Raghav. Sachme Don ka Amma lagti thi. I used to look forward to their scenes more than of Raghvi. I also miss the old RR mansion. šŸ˜’

Loved this post and while I also love the idea of this going tragic because of the very valid points you've raised - that would make their story truly epic - it broke my heart. That amount of pain would be unbearable for both but the story would be beautiful.

You know, so far we've been told that Raghav is fire and Pallavi is water, but it is quite possible that this is flipped now that they are married. Raghav will cool down and she will rage. Let's see.

Can you elaborate on what specifically in that scene made you feel they are not meant to be together for long?

Honestly, the intent with Pallavi was to make her unreadable. Which they achieved. Cause for once, even Raghav failed to read Pallavi. He could not anticipate her moves this time. He assumed she would do something, instead she just uplifted Raghav before people, and it made Raghav damn uncomfortable. I don't think he was expecting any of this to pan out.

Coming to the shringaar. The song was misplaced. It had no affect whatsoever. It was not supposed to be played out that way, cause there wasn't anything romantic about it. The context was wrong. Any other song or background score would have worked. Unlike others what I saw with Pallavi was this cold undertone of fury in her eyes, and a mocking smile on her face. Raghav was paralyzed. And that is what will continue, cause Raghav will not be able to read this Pallavi.

Apart from that, have zero clue as to what the impact of this reception (read widow truth) will have on Raghav. Frankly expect nothing of him. He is just plain weirdly wired.

Coming to the tragedy connotation, behen ITV me tragedy nahi hota unless TRP gutter me chali gayi ho ya show supernatural hošŸ˜†. Raghav and Pallavi are very much meant to be with each other, cause they are meant to be the change for each other, which willingly they won't accept. Like soulmates are. So yes, tu Padmavat se nikal.šŸ˜†

Intriguing post. Tragic ending would have been appropriate had they not gone for the marriage plot. However misunderstandings and their individual orientations are against them being together without chaos. So I don't know, mixed feelings. I don't envision them being that couple in marriage somehow. They can be soulmates, may be willing to die for each other in circumstances, but to accept that they choose each other in every sense, hmmm, is difficult to imagine right now. Maybe they can take the practical middle road - not being together because they are too different, but at the same time being committed to each other, because they cannot love anyone else. Does that make sense? LOL

The title song

door kahin jaise jameen aur aasmaan milte hain

aise hi toh mil jate hain do pyaar karne wale

Imagining sky and earth meeting at the horizon, is that horizon death after a long journey where they finally manage to unite? Or is that an extremely distant possibility but a possibility nonetheless?

Ye log sirf gaane likhte hai waise, mean kuch hota nahi hai. TRP ke chakkar me ye log zameen aasman alag kar dete hai ya mila dete hai. These CVs, uff

While I highly entertain the thought I don’t have it in me to see yet another OTP of mine getting a tragic ending šŸ˜†

Also it’s a sp show so I highly doubt they will show anything like that.

We are reading too much into it I feel šŸ˜†šŸ˜³
