You know its possible. In reality I have seen a devar, actually cousin of husband, taking care of the bhabhi. He would say "bhai aap bhabhi ka thik se dhyan nahi rakhte". He worshiped his bhabhi, though the equation was very different. His parents passed away back to back in 2 years and he was 11 when he came to his cousin and his wife. The wife raised him like her own son. Even today when everyone is married and Bhai and bhabhi are old they live with the devar and his family, not with their son's family. The reason they give is he is our oldest son even though he is not born to us.

I agree with you that he should have been sterner with Pakhi. But he gave that open ended statement for Sai sake he didn’t want to force her stay back IMO.

Virat wanted Sai stay back with him and take care of him whole heartedly without any compulsions from him.

Chavans are special kind of morons, so anything can be expected from them. But here, the only person to blame is Virat Chavan and no one else. He was the one who gave unwanted importance to his "bestfriend", both in private and in front of the family. Also, he was the one who continuously humiliated his wife in front of his entire family. So now, they are simply continuing what he used to do. The problem with Virat is, whenever he humiliates Sai, he does it in full josh and full voice, in front of everyone. But when it comes to putting his "bestfriend" in her place, he does it in a much mellower way. So how do you expect a husband's family (especially the likes of Chavans) to treat their DIL when the husband himself keep on insulting her by believing the lies of his "bestfriend" and family.

Charu, I left this show long back because of the senseless chaos and toxicity of the relationship between Patralekha and Virat. I am sorry but it’s a huge insult to the entire chain of thoughts and family ethos.

Here, whatever happened till a certain point could be called a human weakness. After a point, it became this horrible show. Now I can’t even look at Patralekha and Virat without disgust.
