That is true to some extent. He is softening in his actions for sure. But a streak to protect Raavi has always been there. He pushes her away but always looked out for her.

I so totally loved the Haldi scene where he flung in to save her from that stray piece about to hit her and then hid it behind.

Shiva is always guarded with his emotions when it comes to her. Maybe, a defensive mechanism to reiterate his notion of hating her.

That is true. I cant believe I forgot about that. I can't wait until he openly acknowledges his care for her.
