Legally she isn't a widow but in terms of her emotional and mental state, that's how she identifies herself. No matter what the relationship between Mandaar and Pallavi may have been like, she is devoted to his memories. Otherwise, she wouldn't have stayed with the Deshmukhs and gone out of her way to do everything for them.
