PH and CVs : Doom of MHRW

Hey Guys, Lately I've been inactive on the forum. Honestly I feel the Production House and CVs are failing in promoting the main jodi, in creating a Hype for the show and in maintaining the interest of the viewers. Here are some of the things I feel the CVs are falling short on, you guys can add more...

1) Promoting Raghvi: This has been my issue from Day 1. Look at other Star Plus Jodis...Be it from new shows like PStores or the old ones like Yrkkh. The main jodi is hyped on screen, on social media and itv interviews. The propaganda is so heavy for the main jodi everywhere. (In some serials the side Jodis have more promotion than Raghvi) Raghvi has so so much potential but not a single click of them, not a single instagram post, not a single interview. I don't want Sai Shivangi acting as bffs but the PH Should PROMOTE THE JODI. Raghvi has so much potential and so much charishma and all of the is going into the drain.

2) Same promos and same precaps. The second biggest issue here. The story has been stuck. I knew what I signed up for when I started watching the serial but even when the storyline is predictable to a T the different promos and precaps create a sense excitement and new-ness....why are the Cvs being so lazy. Show raghvi scenes in the precap...show something that makes us look forward to the next episode but no.

3) Poor execution of the scenes and the make-up. Like many others pointed out...the emotional scenes aren't directed well. The actors are good but the direction is not. Amma forgets pallu stayed the night at her house, No consistency in between the scenes. Pallu's makeup rivals that of Kareena Kapoor in her breakdown scene...Amma's skin color keeps changing...one day she's wheatish like me, the other day she looks super tanned like my mom when in reality the actress is fair skinned. Why the brown face?? You want a South Indian looking amma EFFING CAST A DARK SKINNED ACTRESS. There is no shortage of Gorgeous senior actresses with beautiful brown skin.

I feel while the cast is superb and the show has so much potential, the Cvs and PH aren't doing a decent job regarding MHRW. You should know how to "sell" a story and they're failing

YouTube videos have much better direction and script than this. And even if everything is excellent what's the point of you don't promote it in the market AT ALL.

I have been meaning to say this and I am glad you did. Poor direction, poor editing, poor writing, no flow to the story, emotional scenes look forced, trashy character development, I honestly feel like these are newbies fresh out of college shooting on their iPhones desperately trying to impress but failing. The episode today felt so half hearted.

The only reason everybody is still watching this show is the leads and their chemistry, which is nowhere to be seen these days. Other reason was the rao mansion which is also not here for now. 😆 Time to take a break from the show and hope it will get better.

And promotion of CP also depends on themselves too. As u said about Pandya stores, The cast or the actors , they themselves promote their CP so much in SNS. They just grab the eyeballs and buzz around them. Like no BTS, or NGs of the CP r shared. They don't even take a selfie together lol. They how would the CP be popular. So we can't except to grab audience especially CP ones if they themselves don't promote.

The story is like worst. The character development is inconsistent. Whitewashing Raghav, The CVS themselves are confused whether to show Raghav the goodie boy or the bad boy. Plz everyday new nuisance. And Pallavi's character isn't mahaan but plain dumb. One time she stands up for herself n then again she falls before the same house where she was pushed from. Plz let the girlie have some dignity!!

SP will only promote the show if the show has trp growth and now SP is promoting MHRW after maakhi release. IF they see a boost of TRPs then we will definitely see more promos.

The same precap n marriage promo is like bugging off n setting off the mood. Many ppl have either left or taken a hiatus till the wedding comes.

There has been weirder heroes then this and very mahaan n forgiving leads too . But the problem with our leads is that they come out as fickle. Raghav one day is whitewashed to be a good one and other day. he is bad boy who doesn't care.

If u want to keep Raghav as a grey ML, then let him be a trash. Y inserting his past n making him seem pitiful?

Just giving u an example, RK was a complete grey character n we can see a much bigger weirdo who took revenge on FL just for a slap. His revenge was far more worst then Raghav's . Yet he had audience glued to him. Even after 8 yrs, ppl remember him. If he was trash then he is. Don't change consistently to make the lead look fickle.

We r sitting here just coz the chemistry is good. The show is full of plot holes. No consistent flow .

Hopefully,this week's TRPs & our discussions here will make the CVs realize what they're doing.

The Pandya Stores' cast always post fun videos or even the lead couples do make posts together regarding the future scenes which brings the hype & people want to watch the episodes. But yahan toh Main Leads ko padi hi nahi hai, bhai pata hai Lead Couple ho, accha chalo nahi bhi ho, kuch toh photos daalo saath mein. You're freaking acting as the couple, hype toh lao agar chalana hai iss show ko.

Ya yeh maan liya hai ki yeh first show hai toh utna nahi chalega, so let's not put in too much efforts . Shivangi seriously needs to up her game on promotions & so does the Promotional Team 😒

Let me start my tap recorder again which I am saying last few days

- first time sandip has poor team.

- this team has no vision and clarity. It is like chalo aaj yeh shoot karte hain. Next day kuch aur shoor karte. Kapde ke jaise to story change karte hain

- direction is poor

- editing is poor. No continuity

- writing is poor. Writer has no clue about characters and depth about them

- show grip is missing

- background music is poor (except mhrw title song)

- promotion is poor. There is competiton on rival channel still they are not looking serious

- execution is poor. That zoom zoom and closer to face direction is worst

- sandip not taking criticism is worst and he won't listen

- makers love for deshmukh drama is worst. Fans want raghvi to get married not because they want to see them together but they want to get rid of Deshmukh drama

- only best thing is leads and their acting and chemistry but how long they will run the show

- that repeat precap is hell irritating

- same promo since last month. People lost interest why they will get married

- I have signed up for the show for don and widow love story which is lost somewhere

- I have decided to detached from raghvi and enjoy as long as I can

- no can blame pandemic and channel when problem lies in your team

Agree with all your points, I wish we could pin this post so that when their team lurk around here, they won't miss this!

I think the issue here is inconsistency. I won't say they're outright bad, because there have been a few good scenes, but they are not able to maintain that quality throughout.

1. Writing is very mediocre. There is no organic flow and often seems like random scenes have been juxtaposed with each other. I've been re-watching from the beginning and it's so evident the way one scene is positioned after the other. Though individual RaghVi scenes came out well, in the larger picture, episodes feel sloppy and all over the place.

2. Editing. Don't even get me started on this. Even shows which aired 10 years ago (except Ekta shows) did not have these OTT zooming effects. Haven't they been trolled enough on social media already? Why do you still want to stick to such outdated, annoying, gimmicks? Unless of course, that is the aesthetic you are going for.

3. Background Music. Regardless of the content, ITV shows have always had amazing music. MHRW is no different; the title track is great❤️, but I still prefer the first version they used with singer Anwesha (?) than the one they've been using now. BUT, the bgm used in all scenes except RaghVi scenes are downright terrible! I thought we were past the age of using annoying sound tracks to accompany zoom effects. Please, please change those OTT tracks!

4.Promotion. I don't believe in forcing actors to promote on social media if they're not comfortable. But as you mentioned, social media buzz seem to be helping other shows so there is no point in us lagging behind. Dropping a selfie or two once in a while for the sake of promotions don't hurt. Even if the cast is new to all this, the PH should atleast be sensible to handle this, considering how popular the show is online. You need to sustain the interest of the online audience too. Just drop a fun BTS segment of SaiShi and see for yourselves the buzz it'll generate!

5. Proper research on Telugu Culture. This is a topic for another day, but if they have made a particular culture as the premise of their story, then they need to get their facts right! And yes, STOP with the brownface!!!

Another thing I've been wondering is–who exactly is the target audience of this show? I mean, we've had shows where the main focus is on the romance and chemistry of the leads (IPKKND, MB) and then the other shows catered solely towards the TRP audience (Saathiya, Simar). Ever since I started watching MHRW, I've been wondering about its genre. May be because I got lured into the show by RaghVi chemistry, I'm confused seeing the family drama overshadow the romance. This doesn't mean that TRP is not important. Yes, we know how crucial ratings are to make sure the show doesn't get axed in the middle by SP. But, there should be some balance between the two.

Considering how MHRW has garnered quite an amount of online fandom, wouldn't it be better to play to your strengths and keep them fed? RaghVi are both hot and have sizzling chemistry even if they're standing five feet apart from each other in the same space. Use them! Write better scenes, better dialogues. Change the OTT bgm and put an end to the freaking zoom effects! They have all the makings to be next iconic couple of Star Plus, only if you play your cards right.

Because now it comes off as plain lazy and as lacking effort. It is almost as if it's a choice now and you've convinced yourself that you don't need to do anything more than what is being done already. You've anyways put an effort into making those amazing sets (RR Mansion ❤️) and shifting the cast to Hyderabad to shoot under the scorching sun, so why not put a little more effort to ensure that they come out better on screen.

Since last week I have been writing tat the show has lost consistency . The makers have lost it . They are trying to get encash Sai’s popularity and for tat they te simply showing his swag and all . No proper script they follow . It is as if they decide to shoot few scenes and they incorporate it in the story here and there . Tats y we don’t feel any connection. It’s okay to bask the lead but U have to give him a proper story or script . Here as if some photo shoot is going on and lead is telling some dialogues . Pandemic has hit every shows but they don’t deviate from their plot . Writers are so lame so are editors and make up I don’t have words . I don’t get y ppl get obsessed with South Indians are dark skinned . It’s not like tat . So many top heroines of Bollywood are southies and they are so fair .Stop generalising . What is the need to show Raghav’s mom as dark skinned and for that they are doing pathetic make up also . If at all they wanted to show it like tat you should have selected some normal beautiful brown skinned lady instead roping a fair skinned lady

and making her look dark. Tat was just pathetic .

This show has now lost its colour also . I don’t know y but always the shows tone is dark . Not colourful . First I thought it was symbolic just to show colourless life of Pallavi but now I guess it has nothing to do with that . Characters are not all well studied . Raghav and Pallavi flips so much .

I am not a fan of Gul show but started watching Ishq par zor nahin . Tat show also had many flaws in the beginning like over acting of FL and senseless ML . But after reading all comments I guess she corrected it and now the show look interesting. Tat show is young than MHRW and leads doesn’t have Raghvi chemistry but they have certain fun elements like Karthik which make us glue to the show and provide entertainment. Their leads characters have grown so beautifully. But here when we think leads are progressing writers mess it and all is back to square one . But Gul shows lose its charm after about 100 episodes but here Sickand has got such a good chemistry leads but still his creatives can’t bask them properly . Even our writers can write better than them . I feel he has different writers for different episodes tat is major eventful episodes are written by good ones and fillers are written by some random people .

And coming to leads promoting the show I feel Shivangi should put some effort in promoting bcause Sai is anyways promoting in insta and all . This show leads don’t have tat unity . It’s as if they are poles apart . Tats okay if you r different but when you represent a certain collaboration you need to look one . Tats not happening here .

As I have always said looking forward to watch this show for only the leads chemistry and I am ready to watch after marriage episodes as first episode of the show . Hoping Sandeep rectifies the mistakes and give us what we have been waiting for .
