Adi can stay with Malini as a token husband but it will never change the fact that he loves Imlie all consumingly. The mentor role is the only one he will be allowed to play publicly so he will take that for now as some way of still being able to support her, but his underlying feelings for her obviously can’t just be turned off.

You have said this so well and bold to all. His underlying feelings cannot and will not be switched off. But due to the circumstances he will bound to offer a shoulder to support her through this phase. This is one full of angst and guilt but at the same time we all know there is only so much one can take before they start to look for further help or answers.

Imlie always did say she would either stay when she returns for a few days only to leave if he didn’t follow through on his promise. Seems to me the girl will walk away from her truth to show her support to Maline but in the end the guidance from her own people will make her realise that all is not what it seems to be with Maline. She will soon see the other side we have seen. And that’s when she will have to fight for her faith because for imlie Aditya safety has always been key no matter if they were together or not and with this act and others that may follow I believe he is in danger both mentally and physically because she will not let this be the last stunt.

I am all for Imlie temporary getting out of the Tripati house. The environment there is just way too toxic for her innocent mind. She needs to be around her mother and dadda right now. And I hope her mother guides her. Aditya first needs to buy her a cell phone so they can stay in touch and Rupi di too can stay in touch with Imlie and help her out.

My problem is that last 1 week, the episodes have been so Malini-centric and her mind is such a dark place to be in, that it is causing the depressing atmosphere in the forum too or for that matter whoever is watching the show. On top of that, the suicide precap since past 4 episodes is really not helping. It is cruel to do this to audience right now. I understand suicide track is part of the whole story and they cannot change it. But did they also have to show the same precap with blood and all for 4 episodes?

The writers did not balance out Adi-Imlie scenes with Malini scenes in the last week like they did in the past. That is also frustrating. Plus, Rupi di knows the truth. Why can't Imlie spend all her time her.

And it is just so maddening that Imlie's first day in college turned out to be a nightmare. Any success Imlie is getting after 19 years is all tainted by Malini. But kya kare, this is the story.

I'm laughing cuz I suddenly remembered her bizarre, "Mat Dariye" in response the last time Adi had told her he feels scared of her reactions cuz she faints/goes into low BP mode whenever he tries to tell her something.......so much for "don't be scared of me".....she really thinks people will dance in joy on finding her dead body in a dulhan outfit? 😕

Anyways, trying to understand Malini's brain is a useless exercise in of itself given how it flits from one thought to the next without any coherence....2 days back she was still blabbering about wanting to know the truth....now she doesn't want to hear the truth and would rather kill herself....this is the woman we are supposed to sympathize with.....maaf karo humein.

As for Imlie....I never expected her to let go of her sindoor anyways....that really isn't the issue here. To me, it's more grating right now that Imlie will be willing to demean herself in guilt to prop up Malini....every character in this story only thinks that making Malini feel that she alone is always right and has all the rights is the "solution" to everything.....Imlie anyways is guilt-ridden on the Malini topic so to me it's sadder that Imlie will demean all her own achievements simply to prop up "fragile" Malini.....I've started to feel allergic to this word "fragile" too thanks to Didi using it a a carte blanche.

Unless Rupi can do something CONCRETE to get Imlie her respect in this house, that too when the rest of the family will be busy planning parties etc. to coddle Malini, I can't say much.....Adi-Imlie seems like they are going to be debilitated for the near future until whatever shift happens to move things on that front.

I think you might be underestimating Tripathis ka capacity for amnesia and brushing things under the carpet....they will all happily pretend the last 2 weeks of Adi-Malini fights never happened if they get Malini back in the house and Adi hangs his head in shame constantly to bow before her.

I lost my whole reply to your post this afternoon as my browser crashed on me 😡Looks like even the browser is tired with Malini drama 😆

Anyways, just a couple of things that I remembered ... first thing was reg the “mat darna” part.... don’t you think that played a part here. Malini knows the truth or atleast that Aditya has moved on. She also knows that Aditya is scared of her reaction. so by taking this extreme step she is making sure that Aditya will never dare to tell the truth and if truth is not told then she can continue pretending. Once she knows the truth, how is she going to justify the clinginess or be the “achai ki murat”because the. she will be basically asking him to sacrifice his happiness for her. She also knows that once Aditya tell the truth he will step out to the relationship. Hence the extreme step but is she really this conceited or is it just circumstances?

RE Imlie: I think she is lost somewhere and frankly I lost it today when she said that I will be all alone if Malini is not there. Really, how did Malini become such an important factor in her education journey. What about Bhadke Kaka and Aparna? Are they not important anymore?? Infact they contributed more that Malini Devi.. I am not even considering Aditya anymore as Important because frankly he seem to be lost in her “ didi jaap” ka mahasagar.... They are just sacrificing their best character and pair for something that I don’t even know what to call.... the writers just seem incapable of providing a balance in the story and till they do that guess we have to suffer.

Re Dulhan attire: forget the last part but on the call Malini said, “I will get ready as Dulhan as you like me that way”... so for last 7 years she always dressed up as dulhan to meet her. Where is the freaking logic??? .... what was the connection? .. my reaction was exactly like Aditya “ hey Bhagwan.. koi Bachao””..😆

I understand and that’s why I mentioned earlier the cvs forgot to balance the whole plot between the cast and the characters. I am not sure if the added pressure of the location change may have a part to play.

That’s true I agree the precap and the setup could have been handled in multiple ways but hey they must have gone for the ratings angle. It’s indeed a very sensitive issue and if they had looked into it they could have used several other stories and ways to show the same idea or concept. But then as we have seen in the past not all viewers get the simplest of messages as I have seen in the forum may members have the explain Aditya and imlie journey and there road to acceptance of this relationship and even then it doesn’t sit well.

I would just say this just brace yourself for more darkness and mirroring before it gets better because the manipulation and mind games have just stated and with it the challenge of how all three will come out of this. Some will lose and others will gain but faith has a big role to play in how they deal with this.

Remember the stage of this was set with Rupi saying to Imlie you’ll have to fight for what is your right but if not keep fighting for your believe and faith you have in the sindoor given to you by the blessing of SM. That was the sign that she will need her own journey and that I don’t see coming yet so soon. But when it does I am sure they will make it memorable as they have before.

So like me just fast forward the precap or like my nanu said to me today let’s light a candle in prayer that our Aditya babu stays safe. He is just worried for him for Meethi speech to pari today showed she will make sure to set her daughter in the right path.

I just hope before she leaves Aditya they will allow him and her to talk.

As for the college track it’s true that that happiness was sort lived but then one has to see that Maline was never happy with her success to begin with and what better way to take away imlie light by doing what she is doing. I think some members mentioned it before she wants it to be all about her and nothing more. That’s the sad part that her reality is only linked to one person whereas it should be focused on all the relationships around her.

I have been volunteering for the last few years at a help group whom deals with such issues related to the topic being discussed and shown at the moment. I can say that the way the cvs have shown it has not been well edited but I can tell you that there are far more worse cases and stories that you can imagine.

The case as always will be that as a society we will always blame the one that doesn’t commit the act then rather reflect why the person did what they did. The stem has been simple Maline character flaw has always been from the beginning that she feared she may lose Aditya to another deep down she knew he didn’t love her the way she did. Her current state of thinking is not the failure of the relationship ending its the act of realising that she was enough in his eyes. Her desire is not one of escaping but one where she is wanting to bind him to her as she has come to realise that he is ready for a clean break.

She is simple not ready to deal with the situation and because of it her whole entire believe system has been rocked. Her mother and people around her have always said she is perfect yet we the audience know she is flawed as are Aditya and Imlie in there own right. It a sad fact as well that her father was not strong enough to deal with his failed marriage and she has seen her mother have control by living through a loveless marriage for her image and benefit. .............................................

In all this imlie is just 19 and a girl trying to find her feet in a world of complex relationships and feelings. She has seen the pain of lost love and longing in her mother and satyakaam eyes. I just hopes she learns that her mother regretted wasting her years for someone that was not worth it. In the end she may realise that Maline doesn’t mean what she says and will be free to spread her wings to him.

The episode was one tough watch but a must say it reflected the concept of darkness to light really well. As everyone said before one person can either make a break a relationship and in this we will get to see both sides of the story.

@bold 1- Absolutely. This is key- Lol- we have read and analyzed so much of clues that Malini always knew they weren't really meant for each other- its could fill a sizeable thesis. From the first or second episode she is portrayed as being insecure in her relationship with Adi- he is going on a work assignment and she feels he will meet someone there. And through several episodes we see that she doesn't have the inherent grit to stay strong in the face of trouble. Not saying its a fault- plenty of people out there who are like that- but that's just the way she is, perhaps chronically so. Throughout the episodes we see that she needs the support of many- her problems always become the problems of those around her. May be because of her strong willed Mom- who probably tried to solve all her problems for her, throughout life. Imlie has had to stay strong and fight for herself and for her mother. Her mother has so many problems to deal with that Imlie is used to keeping her own troubles to her self, perhaps used to sacrificing her own happiness and solving her problems however she can. This can then also be a problem because her choices may not always be the best for her own happiness - keeping others happy all the time is not always possible and can often backfire. Also - as you said- she is so young-- so far her happiness was always tied to things in her control- her exam results, her scholarship etc. Emotionally, she is navigating unchartered waters herself as far as love is concerned, so like Adi discovered for himself when he fell in love with her, she probably has no idea how it will affect her and I think she has to wade through the current darkness to discover it for herself. If the creatives have built in a scenario where she has to stand up and fight for Adi and herself against everyone else- that would be precious. But lets see how it plays out. Whatever else I must hand it it to her character- if nothing else she is consistent- she has always said she will never come between Aditya and Malini and boy, is she keeping her word.

Yes cannot agree with you more you have said it so well. She has always felt at ease with things she can control and the latter she will learn to manage as well with time and distance I feel. She needs this journey for herself and them.

As for the latter that’s true as well she always said she would not come between them. But one things she always said as well that his safety matters and her faith will protect him. The girl whom married him at the point of a knife and guns when he was a mere stranger can do far more for his safety now that he is joined with her. Hopefully the cvs will show us an interesting track like they did it’s Aditya as this journey develops.
