@bold, yes I think so too. Admiration, jealousy, and a longing for that kind of affection and loyalty in his own case. Once he gets to know Pallavi more he will realize that there are women like her who are truly committed. And not just to his memory, but the way she is still bound to Mandaar's family even though she could have left, and still maintains strong ties with them, still cares about Rambo despite his actions, etc. will be a bit of an eye opener for him.
I guess his past heartbreak and story with that girl needs to come out, which made him cynical about women and caused him to mistrust them in general. Pallavi would be the one to help him see that not all women are the same.
@bold: Exactly. He has not seen that kind of loyalty and admiration in any woman till now, except his family.
I think in his mind he may begin to compare that woman and Pallavi. It will begin from Why she wasn't like Pallavi? and then move to Why did I not get someone like Pallavi? and then it will come to Why can't I have Pallavi? That would serve as a trigger to wanting Pallavi in his life before the MU begins to resolve, and then when it falls like a vajrapaat on his head, and she would slowly want to move out of this marriage or agreement or whatever, it will turn into Pallavi cannot leave me, I cannot let her leave.
It started with chasing her out of the city and the loop will close with him wanting her to stay put in his life. Baat hamesha Anna ki ziddh ki hoti hai😆. The premise on which his supposed sanak for his ego started will converge with sanak for his love.
