Now with having RR's family on her side, she can aaramse shift herself with amma and keerthi to RR's house which he wouldn't be able to deny. Rather than any kind of marriage, be it forced or revenge, I want this to happen. The track would fulfill RR's dream of living with his family while the three ladies can shower him with their different kinds of emotions, anger, frustration at first and love later on...

This is my 1st post in this forum, I'm a telugu girl and loving the show spread with bits of telugu here and there. I have a major complaint with the makers with the accent of telugu people speaking hindi, we do speak clear hindi, we don't have the accent they're using, as far as I have heard and I too don't speak Hindi that way. The accent must have been hard on Sai, he too could be speaking pure hindi.

Yes i saw one of his insta live and he speaks fluent hindi

I bet it must be hard for you to hear those accents but it's just that people have this preestablished misconceptions about different region and cultures

and itv tends continue that without clearing it.

I had lived in Telengana for 4 years--and this accent is really subtle in people and not easily noticed. But majority people can speak Hindi...there is nothing like a language barrier present nowdays. But in itv, to distinguish differnt states and culture- actors are made to pronounce like that- because if Raghav was speaking pure Hindi in the show- how would we differentiate between him and Pallavi and where do they belong to??

But yeah, this must be a real hard work to bring out the accent

I am from Telangana too and can speak fluent Hindi, Telugu and infact Tamil too. But to add to the charm and different slang of his growing up with different background (which we don't know yet) the show must have picked up this accent. It brings a certain rawness to his character.

But I absolutely love it. Its different and Sai does a fab job infact delivering it with ease..When he says, ab jo hoyega tumhari saath uski zimmerdari sirf tum hoyega..Just like like ardamainda..am a fan of his hoyega too ..LOL

I am a Telugu girl and I do agree with the points you mentioned.. but there are two types of accents here... One is when they want to show south indian speaking hindi (thanks to ITV stereotyping it) like YHM Ishita's amma speaking(which mostly tamil people speak like) and the other which Raghav is speaking.(the Deccan hindi).. Raghav hindi is of a person who daily communicates with auto walas or people of old city.. i am telling this because I myself used to speak like that... I used to say "nakko for nahi when I was small.. it's because of the effect of the people i used to speak with. If you see Hyderabad nawabs, Raghav speaks something related to that slang if not completely like that... His accent is atleast 70% ok..If Sai doesn't know proper Hindi then it would have been more effective but because he knows hindi, he is trying to bring that flavour...Saying that i couldn't connect to Amma s hindi or Jagadish Hindi

Totally agree with you. I love that his character doesn't sound polished, has awful grammar, and sounds raw. It goes with the image and after a point when you hear him suddenly speak proper Hindi it sounds odd.

Sai is great, props to him for making the character believable. Though I must say, after all these episodes I have to keep in mind that dukaan is a feminine noun and not masculine. 😆 My grammar will get messed up by the time I'm done with this show.

I didn't know that people in the TS speak fluent Hindi. I thought Sai was fluent because he lived in other states and because his father is from MH, i.e. Marathi influence. Learned something new today.

Amma 2 keeps flitting and I wish she would do like Keerti and just speak proper Hindi. You can even write it off as Raghav speaking differently because he spent too much time on the streets and talking to criminals or whatever.

I'm from AP, Andhra Pradesh. I was self taught hindi as I live in a multicultural environment. No, most of the people from AP and TS don't know hindi, it's just that Hyderabadis tend to speak Hindi as Hyderabad consists around 30% muslims.

I'm from Kerala and the minute I started watching the show I was annoyed with accent used in the show, because it sticks to that horrible stereotype of what ITV makers "think" South Indians speak like. I was hoping things will be better in this show, with the story being set in Hyderabad, a city where hindi is widely spoken compared to the rest of the southern states. Correct me if I'm wrong, but apart from Raghav, the accent of the rest of the Telugu characters sound very forced and much like the stereotype, especially Krishna and Reddy in the initial episodes.

Not to mention, the penchant to just club the cultures of five states to a single entity. They played the malayalam portion of Jiya Jale in the pilot episode to introduce Hyderabad and played Vaathi Coming, a tamil song in a "telugu dance" challenge. They also played a song from KGF, a Kannada movie in one of the episodes. Now I am wondering, have they ever played a telugu song in the show ?

I have lived for 5 years in Hyderabad and seeing a show set in that city and a Telugu actor I started following. Even I noticed the accent and I would say that definitely Hyderabadi people have a different Hindi but the accent is not that strong. But coming from a drama pov they want to highlight the fact that he speaks a different Hindi which is actually true considering both the Hindi's

do have a difference. They just use the accent to highlight I think.

Rest nice to see so many Telugu people or people who have lived in Hyd ! 🤗

Let's make a Hyderabadi group I say here 😆
