Nehru ji should accept his mistake, take the blame and step down.

I'd like to think there is a way, but what is the alternative? Opposition is so bad that BJP will be voted back in no time. And no one sane wants to enter Indian politics, so there is no hope for decent opposition coming up, either.

The problem is, people still believe Modi is pro-development and pro-economic growth. They are willing to overlook his party's tyrannical policies, religious fanaticism and other agendas which go against the nation's values. An overwhelming majority has bought into these other aspects simply because they believe Modi is good for the nation. He has a cult-like personality which makes it easy for people to overlook the not-so-appealing factors.

Also, Opposition is a joke. There's really no credible alternative to Modi at the moment.

This is the right time for opposition to strengthen itself. I hope at least AAP does something. I totally feel suffocated in this political environment

@Bold: While that may be partially true, the bigger reason why they support him (and his party) is much more sinister, because the majority of people love that he puts Muslims in their place and keeps them under fear all the time (what he did with NRC/CAA, Kashmir, Ram Mandir, etc.)

Unfortunately our society is bigoted and Xenophobic and he is just cashing on that.

Otherwise, he should never have returned to power after the disasters that were demonitization, GST implementation, highest unemployment, migrant crisis, etc. but India keeps voting for him every single time.

Congress under Manmohan Singh was much better than this, but now they are hell bent on making Rahul Gandhi PM, even if it's going to take another 15-20 years. They are equally responsible for this situation.

I just wish they would appoint someone apart from Gandhis at the helm and let them fight elections. We are still 3 years away from the next election so there is a chance. But no! Arrogant, self-serving Gandhis shall never have it that way.

Mahua is wonderful.. I have listened to her talk... Plus she is highly educated with corporate exposure..... Unlike the one with fake degree.

Wish Mahua wasn't in TMC..
