What in the world are you going on about? America, the piece of land, was there, but there was no country until recently.

Native Americans were not and are not one single country. Even now, there are 573 recognized sovereign native nations within the U.S. Tribes have their own culture.

You might also want to point out one other country which shed its own blood trying to correct its own mistakes. Aka, the American Civil War. 230,000+ casualties. It also sacrificed 291,000+ in WWII, a war fought to free the other side of the planet primarily, Pearl Harbor notwithstanding. So yeah, the U.S. has done plenty wrong, but it has also done plenty right.
