I think the folks at the PH do have a good bank- they would've anticipated this in late March/early April. And the Pranbir scene we got recently was probably shot around Mugdha's birthday, so I'm assuming they at least have a week- ten days of episodes, if not more.

The warning signs were always there- he was perhaps just waiting for Gudi Padwa to be over before announcing the decision.
