A game of such small margins!

Tipped the Royals to win because Wankhede and chases. And they really should have won this- 21 off 2 overs on this ground is normally an easy win.

Both Arshdeep and Sakariya take wickets off the final delivery of each innings 😭, otherwise Morris/Shami works perfectly for 4 points.

Rajasthan come so close but don't win. Had KLR as highest scorer & Samson as second choice for run scorer.smiley39

On another day, this could have been 15 points. But today's it four 😆

My predictions here:

Winning Team- Rajasthan Royals

Man of the Match- Jos Buttler

Hit most 6s- Sanju Samson/Chris Gayle

Takes most wickets- Chris Morris/Shami

Makes most runs- KL Rahul/Sanju Samson

I read many posts on twitter mentioning that Sanju should've taken the run and let Chris Morris hit the winning runs. I think it is easier said than done because had Sanju actually done that and yet lost, there would be posts saying Sanju shouldn't have taken the run.

Sanju was terrific but Arshdeep got the better of him in the last over. Kudos to Arshdeep because I am sure the team didn't expect to win😆

Arshdeep flies under the radar. Think he was fairly decent last year too. 👍🏼

Although I never like to blame individual players, Rajasthan had two virtual free hits- at 22 off 13 (Tewatia v Richardson) and 13 off 7 (Morris v Meredith). If any of those had gone to the boundary, it would've been game, set and done for RR.

Absolutely

The quality bowling was enough for them to actually hit the big shots. Neither Richardson nor Meredith were impressive apart from a couple of deliveries.

I was surprised that Meredith got the 19th- it generally goes to your best bowler with overs remaining, and Arshdeep was certainly better than Meredith on the evening.

But KL probably thought Arshdeep had a better chance at defending any kind of target in the final over than Meredith. Thankfully it worked for him!

2 things won PBKS the game.

Rahul sacrificing the usual Long off to keep a fielder on deep cover. Game awareness because Sanju had been hitting there only.

Ashdeep having the guts to bowl a slower one with no long off, very risky but arshdeep had the good memories from last time so he executed it.

I had honestly given up with the way Meredith had bolwed in the first 3 overs and also felt that Richardson was a bit better economically but Meredith's 19th over was fantastic where as Richardson went for plenty in his last...I guess around 18.

Sanju got too many chances to reach 119 but I guess luck ran out towards the last two overs!
