Finally watched the episode. Again, I would say that the pace of the show is amazing, it will always keep viewers intrigued, but for some reason I felt like this episode could be more crisp, something was just OFF.
Starting with the rishta pakka, and Mahi being happy, makes sense, Taimoor is a feudal, educated and the families are equal to each other so I guess it is like a typical arrange marriage that takes place in most south asian families. I am confused though, Mahi looked confused or guilty, I do not know I felt she looked confused about Feedi more than anything, but one thing was evident that Feedi was the first man who ever told her 'I love you' and that some how is bothering her, she is probably thinking that she will be in trouble because of his love and that is why he is still ruling most of her thoughts, but just when her rishta was pakka, it was not about being troubled, it was his words that she was trying to picture in her head.
Sahiba is an amazing woman, and tonight for the first time she hinted that 'shaadi ke baad sab dusron ki maarzi se hota hai' means, deep down her desires and wishes has been buried after she married Nazim Shah and seems like Nazim Shah does not care much. I also liked how Sahiba has this calm and changed perspective about Feedi now, she used to think that he was a fool, aise ladkey bohot miljate hongey types, but today she was bothered because she saw a very capable, young and brave man doing everything out of love and a pure heart, as she said aise bohot kam hotey hai jo aapna sabkuch chorke sirf apni mohabbat ko dhundne chala aye.
I like how Mahi always confides in Sahiba, and both of them are mostly on the same page after 1000s of discussions, too bad that Sahiba got someone like Nazim Shah.
Now coming to the highlights of the episode:
Nazim Shah and Qazim Shah conversation, the actors are too good, I have no complains at all. But for the first time I felt Qazim Shah was like the master planner of everything, the composed one yet the most dangerous one, the moment he said that 'give some money to Farhad because such people can be used when needed', it stunned me, he knows the way to mould slaves he knows the way to maintain the royalty and that is why he is the most powerful here. I also loved how Nazim Shah kept emphasizing about royal blood and class difference to Junaid, it seemed like it was a calm before the storm, he loathes people who belong to lower class, and he will never let anyone in his family (Read Mahi) to even dare unite with someone from that class. This conversation gives me a slight hope that Mahi will be the one doing the 'bagawat' for Feedi, but her pride of being royal and educated will come in her way.
Last but not the least, Feedi and his namak halali, as we all were expecting some 'big' monologues of love and heart break, on the other hand our male lead surprises us, not because he is one man who can die in loyalty but because he is fearless, he did not care that these 'royals' would not value his life or care for him, all he cared was that he was responsible to be with his master, he ate his namak and namak haraami is not in his religion, not in his blood, nor in his heart. I just love the beauty of this character TBH, I know that people have their complains about him regarding him staying back here and foolishness with Mahi, but someone with such innate qualities of love, affection and loyalty is so precious, very few people would still go and save Nazim Shah after that immediate rejection, very few of them would still only think about duty and life of the man who cared to pay him instead of his own. The scene was just a minute long, but yet powerful. I loved how everything the hero does here is so subtle, not on your face, but it flows with situations, execution of the show is really brilliant.
Last week when I said that I wish there was a phone call between Feedi and his mother, well seems like they did have one, and his mother already felt the change in him, I think out of all the characters, Feedi is wronging his mother the most, I just feel so bad for the mother, she has lost her son to what was supposed to be a small prank and juvenile foolishness of two immature people. She did not deserve it.
Fakeera, Dilawar and Sajal seemed to be very worried about Feedi's health, it awes me that how much affection they have for him despite knowing him so little, this show really has an ensemble, where you feel for every character, the emotions are played out so naturally, and somehow they all are interconnected by the name Feedi.
I am sorry for the long post, but the episode made me emotional, as a kid even I used to believe that fairy tales were true, this show reminds me of my childhood, the show gives such a 90s classic vibe that unlike today, at those times Love, friendship and religion were just synonymous, this show is trying to connect that string of my childhood. Anyways I will stop now before you guys yawn at me 🤣
