Chapter 18- The Talk, and birthday surprise
Vansh was in the guestroom, he was almost healed, Raima had given him the divorce papers today but he still had hope, that maybe things will work out between them. Raima knocked at the door, she had brought dinner for him. She kept it on the bed and was going away when he asked,
Va- Is it that impossible to give us a second chance.
R- If you had not found the evidence against your family, will still be here. I know i betrayed you first, but i wanted to tell you the truth as well.
You stopped me everytime, i asked you about Ragini but you always lied about her. I cannot wait for anyone else to come and give you some flimsy evidence, and you again don't believe me. We give only pain to each other.
I am truly sorry, but i don't want to be with you anymore.
Every hope he had was gone now, he had signed the divorce papers, and left early in the morning. The servants told Raima of his departure from the palace, she was happy and relieved, she too signed the divorce papers, soon she would be free of that toxic marriage.
Two days later Raima was feeling bad, it was her birthday and no one had wished her, Aditya and Vihaan had gone out for a day, even the servants didn't remember it. Ugh, she wanted to break something.
Whatever if they don't remember it she will celebrate the day like she wanted to, she went to get a spa treatment, continuously getting wounded leave you yearning for healing.
After that she did some shopping and even few beautiful lace lingerie for her, maybe she will get a chance to use it🙈🙈🤭🤭, she ate in her favorite cafè, but even though she enjoyed her day, it would have been better with some one special.
She came back to the palace, it was dark, what was happening? Why were the lights off? Suddenly the lights came back and everyone shouted- SUPRISE, everyone had known it was her birthday and they had kept a suprise birthday party for her.

Chapter 19- Birthday, and Proposal
Raima was still in shock, it was Aditya who shook her and wished her Happy birthday. Everyone else also wished her, but she was searching for someone else, Aditya smirked and said,
A- Jiji, he had some important work, he will return tomorrow only but he had asked that you should enjoy the party.
R- Ya sure.
Raima cut the cake, then fed it to Aditya, and it was distributed to the servants, she had also given donations to the charity the palace helps from time to time. Nearly exhausted she went to her room, she had just entered the room when she was blindfolded,
Vi- Happy birthday jaan
R- Whatever, tumhare pass time nahi hain to be with me on my birthday.
Vi- I was planning a suprise, he switch on the lights of her room, and removes her blindfold, he had decorated the whole room, with red and white roses, Raima was admiring the view, she turned around and he was on his knees, she gasps.
Vi- I know, you need some time but this is a promise ring, i promise to love you, to put you first, and no matter what i promise to love forever. So, will accept this promise ring?
R( kneels down)- I do, i promise to be with you, to love you, to make you feel important and to be with you always, and most importantly to love you as much or maybe even more than you do.
He puts the ring on her finger, they stand up and move towards the dining table in her room and he makes her sit on the chair,
Vi- So, for birthday girl, unke favourite dishes made by me.
R- I hope they are edible 😛😛
Vi- Very funny, if you don't want to eat i will eat it.
R- No no, i will eat it.
Vihaan had made her favourite white sauce pasta, and blueberry muffins for them, they eat together sometimes feeding each other and holding hands. After dinner they were sitting on the bed eating muffins,
R- They are so good, you are such a good baker. What?
Vi- My leave ends today, i have report back soon.
R- Oh, then maybe we should make the most of tonight.
Raima sits on his lap, she kisses him slowly, his hand on his waist, he pulls her closer. They slowly make out, relishing each other. They keep their forehead together as they get their breath back.
R- You have to promise me, you will take care of yourself, and will come back to me.
Vi- I will do my best. Waise i was thinking ki i help with the security of the palace after i leave the Army, you guys really need it.
R- Well, i wanted your advice on something, i think Aditya will be a better king than me, he took care of the kingdom when i was not here. I just don't think i would justice to being a queen.
Vi- I promised you didn't i ki, i will always support you, if you think Aditya should become king then i am with you. Do you think he will agree to it.
R- I hope so.
They hug each other and sleep on the bed together, Aditya had came to check on her and say good night. He smiled seeing them together they both deserve all happiness of the world. He quickly took a photo for future blackmail purposes.
Next day, Vihaan had to return back to the headquarters, and though he didn't want to say goodbye to Raima she was standing there looking strong for him
Vi- It's not Good Bye ,it's see you soon
R- Yep, i will be waiting for you.
Vihaan went away, and Raima had called Aditya to her room stating she had to say something important to him.
A- Kya hua jiji everything fine.
R- I am stepping down as the queen, i want you to be the king
A- What!!!
Ps- This is the second last chapter, next is the last chapter. Do you think Aditya should agree,and do you think it was right for Riddhima and Vihaan to wait sometime before getting married...
Chapter 20- The decision, Homecoming
Aditya was shocked with Raima's decision he didn't know what to say for one minute. But it was Raima who spoke first,
R- Look i understand, that you are shocked and as the first born i should be the heir, but you know me, i am a very emotional person, and my decisions are based on my emotions.
You on the other hand are practical, and besides you took care of this kingdom when i was not here. Trust me, no one else deserves to be the King than you. I will be here with you all the time.
A- Okay, if you think this is right then, i will become the King.
The Coronation was done again, this time Raima was actually happy, she knew she could never become a capable queen, she didn't want to be caged in a palace, she wanted to work with people.
And that's what she did, Aditya made policies, and Raima made sure that they were implemented properly, she liked helping people, and for her, that wouldn't be quite possible as a Queen.
Vihaan and Raima used to Video call, each other whenever possible, and Vihaan would send love letters to her, even those which he had written when he had thought she had died.
Aditya was smiling secretly, Raima was checking her phone again and again, he knew Vihaan was returning home, but they wanted to keep it a surprise.
Adi- Jiji, what happened? Is everything fine?
R- No😡, Vihaan was supposed to call me today, and he didn't.
Adi- He might be busy.
R- Whatever, i going to my room. I am not hungry.
Adi - Ugh, love sick people😒😒
Riddhima went to her room and changed into her dancing dress, she dancing on the song Aaj Ibaadat from Bajirao Mastani. The song captured her feelings perfectly how much her life had changed.

She turns around and quickly hugs him tightly. They were both crying and kissing each other.

Adi- Yeah., you i have to go.
R- I missed you.
Vi- Well now i am back, now you will be fed up of me.

Vi- Waise, i brought you this. A beautiful ring with rubies and emerald. Don't you think it is time to remove that promise ring, and put a real ring.
R- No, i want to keep the promise ring. He puts the new ring in the engagement finger, and promise ring in different finger.
Their wedding was the most talked thing in the town, Raima was actually enjoying and happy this time around, she got a lover and friend all rolled in one, she promised herself she will not let anything destroy their happiness.
Vihaan was happy too, he had finally found peace, he got his best friend, his princess back, now they were actually going to get married, he promised himself, he would protect and her love. He wouldn't let a single tear come out of his eyes.
Aditya was happy that finally his sister was getting all the happiness she deserved, he was in a way happy that she made him the King, she would have been bogged down in the cage, she is free spirit and she deserves to fly.
Sometimes you don't get love in first go, you struggle, become sad, so that you appreciate when you love truly, Raima learnt that in any relation, love, trust, communication and respect is important. She will make sure her relationships remain solid forever.
