LOL. The couple to stan in book 2 is Anthony and Kate anyway - it's their story and IMO one of the best ones. Book 2 plus Book 6 >>>>>>>>>>> over the rest of the series 😆 baaki I've been watching Twitter having a meltdown over Rene leaving. TBH even if he'd stayed, he'd be a minor character in S2. But it's entertaining watching them go completely nuts over something that was inevitable🤣

Books i agree 💯 with you. Show maine dekhna tha rene ke liye. (After veeranshu, i had been on a lookout for eye candy to thirst over. Socha tha I'll get that with bridgerton but chopsy ho gyi🤣)

i sometimes wonder why do they make shows outta books. Very rarely are they able to match the standards and the plot of the books.

That's fair enough - maine toh season 1 bhi isiliye nahi dekha because I love the books and I know the show won't be the same. I'm not a fan of Shonda Rhimes anyway, and I didn't want to watch the show going "oh but they changed that" or "that's not what happens" etc. etc. From what I've heard they made Anthony more unlikeable than he was in the books as well 🤔

My friends who all watched the series first and then tried reading the books preferred the show, but for me, nothing beats the books (also the nostalgia of when I read them 😳).

@bold - agreed. Rarely do I think that a show is better than the book it comes from.

The concept of Bridgerton -- i.e. fluffy, sexy romance -- is deffo something I need right now (everything else is just crime or thrillers etc.🤔) but unfortunately hum se na ho payega 😒
