Yeahh, it depends on where you're posting from.

• If you're posting from the bottom of the page via the Quick Reply box, then the image box is on the left of the emoticon icon.
• If you're using the Reply option (a bigger text box), then it's between the alignment option and the bullet points.

Unfortunately, IF doesn't allow images/gifs to be uploaded from personal galleries. They have to be entered via a separate image hosting website.
