But remember, more than Raghav, she has the baggage of being a young widow and only earning member of the family. She will never choose love, or even think over that. I mean, consciously choosing love is not what Pallavi will ever do. Only Raghav can do that, in his RR way.

Also, I'm guessing she didn't really have a 'love story' or have time to feel that attraction towards a man as a lover before. She's single and free to look around and it's quite natural to be drawn to an attractive man who is not only dashing but is caring too - I don't mean attractive just in terms of looks, which he is, but also in terms of personality.

On some level she registered that he'd been out looking for her and didn't have time to take care of his appearance. Seeing him all fresh and dressed up not only restored the normality of his appearance but also a reminder that for her sake too he freshened up. I doubt she's processing all this consciously but his effort in this regard had an effect on her.
