Why is Virat denying the vaada and his past feelings?

He explains to Pakhi why he gave flowers to his wife, pakhi reminds him of the promise and he says to her I haven’t forgotten anything.

Few days later he’s in absolute denial mode. Sai confronts him, he goes into denial.

He tells Pakhi he has no feelings for her and never will, Pakhi accuses him of breaking the “sacred promise,” he has nothing to say.

What exactly is happening? Is he ashamed of his past? Where exactly does the “promise” stand now? What value does it hold, if it does indeed hold any value at all?

Firstly people do change with time it's a truth which pakhi will never understand when virat will say it loud.

Virat never promised an EMA pakhi which she is demanding . Pakhi assumed wrong what should he say in that .

He look after pakhi as a friend when sai speaks for pakhi virat Do steps in lekin vo fend nhi ban sakta jo pakhi sochti hai.

It was not denial sai sai said u hide love for pakhi in ur heart which according to virat is false he don't hold any love for pakhi.

He is not ashamed , aisa konsa kam kiya hai virat ne jisse usse sharam aani chahiye .

Once pakhi married samrat & he married sai he stopped looking pakhi as his desired gel.

Virat should tell both the girls that his promise was that he won't love any other woman and stay single forever. But that promise is broken as he has fallen in love with Sai. Pakhi samjhe yah na samjhe at least he will be clear with her. And Sai will know that Virat has moved on from Pakhi. It is so simple but inlogon ko jalebi bana na hai. 😆

He said he hasn't forgotten anything because he promised to be her friend which he is.

Also, he had promised that won't give the place he planned to give to anyone else which he still thought that he hasn't. When Sai asked him why doesn't he want her to go to Gadchirolli he only said he has got used to her, he has still not realised his love for Sai. Which technically means that he has no one in his heart. He didn't promise to Pakhi that he will always love Pakhi, he only said he won't love anyone else.

Few days later he’s in absolute denial mode. Sai confronts him, he goes into denial.

When Sai said that he has feelings for Pakhi buried within him and he denied that. Isn't it true that he has no feelings for Pakhi, that is why he told Sai that what she was telling is a lie.

He tells Pakhi he has no feelings for her and never will, Pakhi accuses him of breaking the “sacred promise,” he has nothing to say.

What sacred promise? In this scene, Pakhi asked what is Sai's problem, why did she insult her. Virat revealed that Sai thinks he has feelings for Paakhi, whatever was spoken above. And then Pakhi asked if that was true and he denied it because he doesn't have any feelings for her. He clearly said that he only sees her as his friend and brother's wife. Pakhi got upset because of that and how is Virat responsible? Same point as the first paragraph, Virat never promised that he will continue to love Paakhi.

Pakhi got upset saying he has spoilt many lives by his decision. She mainly grew angry because Virat said that he doesn't have any feelings for her. Will it be okay if he has feelings for her or will it be okay if he doesn't have feelings for her?

What exactly is happening? Is he ashamed of his past? Where exactly does the “promise” stand now? What value does it hold, if it does indeed hold any value at all?

- What is happening is that Virat sees Pakhi as his friend and his brother's wife.

- Virat is falling for Sai but is not aware of it and has not realised it.

- Virat stopped feeling for Pakhi a long time ago and he has always been loyal to Sai emotionally too.

Virat is not ashamed of his past.

He feels obliged to Pakhi and that is why he is still being a friend to her and is supporting her in her tough times and will always do in future too.

He had promised that in her good and bad times, he will be there as a friend for her.

This shows how much he respects his past or his ex who is none other than Paakhi.

He is a guy of morals and knows his limits and so respects relationship and he respects that he is married, he also respects that Pakhi is married and especially to his brother.

Even if it was not his brother, Virat would respect that she is a married woman.

His promise and it's value - have already said what the promises were. To be there for her as a friend and to not let anyone enter his life or in other words, to not love anyone else.

The friend part, he is and will always be her friend.

The not loving anyone else part - as of now until he realises his love for Sai, the promise is not broken.

Love is an emotion, it is not in our hands. We can fall in love or fall out of love.

It was Virat's mistake or his ignorance about love which made him give such a promise. Also, he had his reasons and out of pressure, he gave the promise which I had mentioned in another post.

So if Virat falls in love with Sai, the other part of his promise will be broken, but, that is in no one's hands, not even his. If he had married Sai out of his own will, it would have been wrong. It was due to the circumstances that he got married to Sai.

If it was not for Sai, Virat would have refused to get married even if his parents wanted him to.

Pakhi doesn't want Virat to move on. She doesn't want him to give the place he once planned to give her to anyone else. How is it fair?

Why should she expect that he should have feelings for her? She is married and also married to his brother and expects him to continue to love her?

If she really loves him, she will encourage him to move on in his life and would be ensuring that he lives happily with Sai.

Forget this, if she ever loved him, she would have never even accepted his promise, she should have stopped him from making such promises.

The promise doesn't make sense, neither to her nor to him and it was done at the spur of the moment.

Such promises can never be called as a sacred promise.

It is she who is breaking the sacred promise she made to Samrat (which I even doubt if she ever made in first place while getting married).

On the other hand, even though Virat said he was only taking her responsibility, he took oaths, he made the vachans that a groom gives while getting married. At the end of the pheras, he told Sai, "main tumhe vachan toh de chuka hoon par main sirf tumhari responsibility loonga".

And that is a sacred promise because he gave those promises without running away from it even though he married her to only take care of her after her Dad's death.

On the contrary, Pakhi was the one who decided to go ahead marrying Samrat and I don't think she would have ever given any vachans while getting married.

Virat is respecting his sacred promise that he gave to Sai by being loyal to her and by fulfilling duties of a husband. The remaining vachans that is taken as part of the wedding will also be fulfilled when both of them accept each other as husband and wife on their own will.

actually i understand when he said that what you are saying about me and pakhi having feelings for each other is false. but when she explicitly asked him that he told her that he is committed and will only be fulfilling her responsibility, i have a problem that he was silent. there is nothing wrong in having a past, but when you are envisioning a future with someone i strongly believe that you need to clear the air. due to his silence, sai still assumes that he loves pakhi due to which though she might be feeling the pull towards him, the very sight of pakhi will not allow her to move forward.

virat should not confess his feelings for sai because they are still playing the game of push and pull. but a single sentence that i might have loved her but now she is just a friend and my brother’s wife now would have helped them move forward in their relationship much faster.
