They weren't inappropriate. I nowhere doubt his intentions. However, when he cared for Anokhi since the very first time he met her, it looked unrealistic. Which officer would touch a civilian repeatedly when he has no relation with her? It kind of looks like he is just a plot device to make Shaurya jealous. Nothing else

To be honest it's more of a discredit to the writing than the actor or character.


The way it seems in the show, this guy wastes no time in personally prioritising Anokhi's his result turnover is rapid...so one could wonder on his intention towards her. I agree that using his discretion to file Aastha's missing person's report after only 2 hours instead of the usual 24 was pretty far-fetched. Maybe he does have too much time on his hands..


But it is a romance show and also ITV so it's not surprising that they'd greatly exaggerate trivial scenes like that for the benefit of Shaurya's jealousy sequence and gloss over the serious stuff like the actual crime instead.
