A) she is here to complain about him ( based on their fight about making him regret insulting her )

I felt he was shocked to find her there to react , but he know onething sai humesha sahi ka saath deti hai , he he was shocked when he heard about the purpose of her visit , at same time when DIG was praising her there was a proud smile on his face

I felt that at THAT specific moment for a second it was option A . For a tiny fraction of a second.

Because when he apologise to Sai the next day he says he is sorry for misunderstanding her and his family misunderstanding her.

I wouldn’t blame him if he felt that at that moment in the pressure he was under at that point.

Option 1/A. Hmm although can’t blame him they didn’t know each other that well, and Virat was still very much in love with Pakhi, and before going to the DIG’s office, Pakhi had instigated Virat against Sai (as far as I can recall).
