His soch kicked in. The truth here is that Shaurya does think the women who get friendly with men who are not their husbands / boyfriends are loose character. Yeh uski soch hai. Because honestly, if your crush is enjoying his/her time or is physcially close to someone else, you dont go around calling them loose character or insinuate that they are goldiggers. No "mom" issues can justify this. This is pure misogyny. Even though deep down, at some corner of his heart, he is aware that Anokhi is neither of the terms that he used for her. But the fact that he used them , means he thinks that way fo other women. And that itself is scary.

With Anokhi, its her innocence that kind of does attract him. I derived it from his words today "innocence ka dhong" , yes she is innocent and pure and getting a chance to protect that girl again and again makes you want to have a right on them. i think this protector instinct stemmed from ragging incident onwards. He helped her come out of the calssroom and hugged him tight. She broke the touch barrior with him somewhere, though not intentionally. It just happened. And that whole trauma through which he supported her, made him want to protect her even more. In his mind, she's woman he wants to keep protecting and being there for. And he wants her to depend only on him. And treat him like God. His words- " Mai chahta hu ki sirif mai uski priority banu . Isme kya galat hai". He dosen't see anything wrong with it. Hence I feel, him realising his mistake might take more than 1-3 episodes. He didn't realise the fact that he was unfair with Shagun till date. How do u expect him to realise his mistake so soon?

Funny isn't it he has created a picture of Anokhi and now is crying foul because she is not matching up to it😆

This is not about mom issues in fact it cannot even be related to it at that point, his abandonment issues and trauma may have contributed to him building his current ideology but he needs to take complete accountability for his words there is simply no excuse. He is getting territorial and staking a claim but Anokhi is not an object she is a living breathing person who has and should have the right to exercise agency in her own life without having to answer anyone or pandering to anybody's fragile ego. She did not and neither does any woman deserve this kind of venom.

Shaurya is even out of his control. First, "sir mat bulaya karo" popped out of the blue and it didn't take long for him to call her characterless.

His insecurity is taking toll on his mind. Somewhere in the corners of his mind, he wants them to be more than just teacher and student. Anokhi's comparatively free nature with ACP has triggered his ego. As a child who has been deprived of attention from parents, he's developed some sort of image in his mind that those he likes should place him at the top notch of their priority list. He's comfortable with his family members; the Saberwals because he know that they all consider him on top. Same in college too, Prof. Shaurya is everyone's favourite.

Now, he's craving attention from Anokhi. His craving for attention as a child has turned into insecurity and now, ego.

Involuntarily he feels that he has to outshine the ACP. At the police station, he was feeling ignored and unwanted. On top of that Anokhi-Ahir's comfort level hurt his ego that he couldn't build such a rapport with her. Hence, like always, his hurt and ego find way outlet through blind anger. It's true that all of his personal baggage doesn't justify his calling a woman character just because his ego was hurt.

We all know that he has no control over his tongue when he's angry and hurt. He has already told his mother he doesn't care if she lives or not. What followed is his repentance of what he blurted.

Same goes with his way towards Anokhi. He has called her characterless and now he's gonna repent for his bad temper.

As for Shagun, like Shagun once told Shaurya, he just loved her intelligence not her. Shaurya was cherishing their intellectual compatibility not emotional. For the same reason, he didn't think twice before breaking up at Shagun's first discord with his notions.

Once he acknowledges his bad temper and disguised misogyny, he'll realise that he was unfair with Shagun. The guilt of it would transform as the reality of his relationship with Anokhi.

I think he's being selective. Like you said, he's okay with many of her traits that he doesn't desire to be in his ideal partner. It's clear from his rant of her faking her innocence that what attracted him to Anokhi above all is her innocence. He has witnessed it through certain incidents ( ShaKhi goals scenes ).

@bold - I sometimes get a vibe that Shaurya loves exhibiting power. When he sees Anokhi being super fierce but always needing him, it somehow boosts his ego. I dont know honestly. Beacuse otherwise , I don see him being egoistic alot.

Remember when he saved her from goons, he was looking at her as if she's doll that needs to be protected. I guess he always had the notion. That men protect women. And that kind of makes him feel good when he is able to achieve it. Could that be the reason?

Also, the fairy lights scene, it was my favourite scene, because he was helping for the first time with no life death situation. There too, he let her try coming out of it, she couldn't do it and he took the charge. He behaved like it was his duty to be there for her even if its something so minor.

@ bold - True. No one deserves that venom. Because if u get trapped in this kind of love , it turns out to be shackles of love.

I am happy they bought this side of Shaurya in before making Anokhi fall for him.

Also , had this incident not happened and the cheating incident happened directly post the goons incident , there were high chances that Anokhi starts feeling for him too (ofcouse with riots MU) clearing up. Its hard to not fall for someone who's continuously there for u.

But had she got more involved , she would one day see his extreme side and get pissed off. And it would all be too difficult for her to get out of it.

Whatever, all these incidents revolving around Anokhi is surely shaking his notions on women and relationships from its revered pedestal.
