Okay I just watched the episode and contrary to popular belief Shaurya was not out of character, was he wrong? Yes.

These accusations might have been induced by jealousy but it his ultimate soch that amplified it. He sees Anokhi as a bechari and it is a fact, yes she has a fighting spirit and never takes things lying down but he has always found himself in the position of a protector and caregiver something that comes naturally and recently Anokhi has been at the recieving end of it intentionally and unintentionally. But Anokhi doesn't need a protector she neither sees Shaurya nor Ahir as her protector but just as people who have helped her that's what her gratitude is for.

Having watched bits and pieces of the bengali version I can say that the character of Shankho (Shaurya) is way too possessive and jealous for anyone's liking. I would also agree with you in saying his misogynistic mindset took over the gentleman in him, but in no way it was right. We can't excuse it easily. Perhaps this is the first thing which Shaurya did that I cannot forgive easily.

"Sir, aapko pata hai mei bechari nahi hoon"

I am glad Anokhi's response was prompt because she can take care of herself, she is a survivor. Yes untoward things have happened to her and she has come out of it and these are things that should have never happened to her in the first place.

Shaurya from the previous night had established what his pre conceived notion was while speaking to Badi Maa. While he agreed that the right thing to do is file a complaint he was expecting Anokhi to be in shock and in need of a shoulder to fall back on and he wanted to be the that shoulder. He has seen Anokhi in Shock before during the ragging incident but he has conveniently pushed the particular memory of her stubborn pursuit of justice to the back of his mind.

Well, Anokhi already said "aapko lagta hain har larki ko kisi ke sahare ki zaroorat hoti hain" Remember he also said to Kanchan "Main sambhal liya na?" while dealing with Kitty-Bebo. He just cannot see any girl fighting on her own. It is one of his flaws. Our Anokhi is a fighter. I hope when he is able to openly recognize his feelings, he does think about the compromises he has to make if he wants to be with this girl.

This coupled with the fact that he was jealous of ACP Ahir's attention towards Anokhi has made him lose his head just like he has done before (the boquet throwing and the words hurled at Aastha) except that previously it was never directly intended at Anokhi. Today he was hurt and wanted to hurt because like someone already pointed out he cannot tolerate a prospective partner having her own independent thinking which is how he has started seeing Anokhi as. He wanted her to stand back and let him do all the work and be the "Man". It is interesting to note that she did step aside to let him join her but not step back she was trying to extend a partnership which he isn't ready for because he needs to be the "Alpha". The irony here is Shaurya was lost in his own pity party and shallow thoughts that he failed to see what this was all about? It was not about him or ACP Ahir but Anokhi and what she has been through. This here is the crux of the situation, Shaurya knows that what happened was wrong and he would have and was ready to help any woman not just Anokhi, he can sympathise with women by putting himself in a benevolent position of a saviour but not truly empathise with their situation because he does not know what it is like to actually go through all this. It was evident in the borderline victim blaming the previous night and now during the police station where the pursuit of justice was replaced by his frustration at being rendered incapable of taking care of "Anokhi".

Coming to the actual accusations Shaurya is wrong and his words were intentionally in bad taste. There can be absolutely no defence or justification to this other than genuine remorse and heartfelt apology. He had no right to ask why Anokhi chose to go to Ahir's station and not another station! It is her choice, she is the one who will have to relive the uncomfortable ordeal. This is where Shaurya's thinking is being challenged because he wanted her to sit back while he did it for her.

I know all of us have been flying high since Saturday's episode I especially was in the highest storey of heaven😆 but the CVs have flung us down a few notches reminding us that "Shaurya's misogynistic thinking" is still the Elephant in the room and it is not forgotten. I say few notches and not completely to the ground because I see this incident as a progress both in the plot and in Shaurya (no no I haven't lost my sanity 😆) because this is the outcome of and a challenge to Shaurya's soch which is definitely going to lead to some introspection (hopefully).

Saturday ka episode 10 times dekhne ki saza mil gayi. Koi nahi, I trust this production team to come up with a logical progression of Shaurya in addition to Shakhilicious episodes

ACP Ahir is such prop I am telling you!🤣 His role so far has been so blah that it is difficult to take him seriously. I am not sure if is intentional or the plot device to induce jealousy in Shaurya is being over done but I genuinely felt that him moving closer to Anokhi to take her report a little creepy that was definitely crossing a boundary there and I would have definitely felt a little uncomfortable but may be it wasn't intended to be so, but he was well within his place to tell Shaurya that it is the victim's right to talk first.

The problem is they are trying too hard to sell this character to us. The ACP character in Mohor (Bengali Version) is better than the leads IMO. He plays a strong role in their love story as well. That's why from the beginning we see Ahir receiving importance which other supporting characters might or might not have. Had they treated Ahir just like any other character as Devi or Shaan, he could have been loved by the audience. Also I feel like the expressions he gives are monotonous. Like the dude can't be smiling all the time. He can see Shaurya sulking, still he smiles. Kind of looks like he is enjoying the tadap of Shaurya

I am reserving thoughts on the precap for tomorrow and definitely looking foward to it because Anokhi is not going this lying down!

We needed this post badly. Again, I agree and Im happy that CVs didn't brush off the elephant in the room and let ShaKhi just bloom. Because if not now, Shaurya would se other day unleash this side of him om Anokhi, and she would be heartbroken, if it was post them getting together.

I hope to see development from his side post this fiasco. I hope to see him not blabbering things out of his mouth without thinking tje next time he is angry. He needs to learn this lesson.

But I honestly feel bad for Anokhi. I mean, kitna insult hoga uska ? 🤢 no girl deserved to go through all this . In real life, she should not even cross the same path as him.

(but yeh fiction hai) 😆

PS: Now i get Anokhi's reaction in Promo. I also get why she will not understand his feelings in holi. Kyunki yeh sab bolne ke baad konsi ladki bhaav degi? 😆

@ bold Ditto! 😆

@Red me too! Because one nobody deserves to be at the recieving end of this kind of anger neither Anokhi nor anybody else. Second, he is not the only one with a difficult childhood, Anokhi too has had an abusive home environment throughout her life she has seen the worst consequences of anger and doesn't deserve to be exhibited to it further because Shaurya cannot get his Sh** together (couldn't think of another word sorry😆).

Anokhi def won’t let him go easy on this and she shouldn’t. However, how does he make up for this will be interesting to see. Also after this, how will anokhi even fall for such a man? I mean yes he apologizes and all but how can any girl move past such a nasty comment a man has made about her and warm up to him. Actually I hope she doesn’t. He crossed all professional and human boundaries by passing such a nasty judgement on someone.

I also think shaurya is the type of person who when hurt by someone hurts them back by saying rude and nasty things bc he can’t control his emotions.. but also it shows his emotions are all over the place w anokhi. He’s def very possessive and territorial abt her now .. not saying it’s okay to do this though

Although, he was hurt when shagun chose to get her PhD and he felt she chose education over him. But he didn’t say such things, which tells us it’s not in his character to say these things to woman and people .. so makes me wonder why anokhi?!

In the words of anokhi: “itna gussa!!! Baat karna nahi aata apko?!”

Omg this!!! He’s not the only one w a troubled childhood! People learn from their experiences and chose to look towards the good in things .. so what’s his excuse?!

He can’t be justified no matter how good he is otherwise bc this is unacceptable

Completely agree with everything. The show's plot deals with challenging Shaurya's soch. So, that soch needs to come to the forefront WRT Anokhi.

Till now, his behaviour towards her was based on her equation with aastha. It wasn't out and out misogynist. Now that shaurya has started seeing Anokhi as Anokhi and not just asthaa's student, and not "just" his student, the misogyny in him will claw its way into the equation.

I genuinely see this as a step ahead in terms of plot movement. I also hope this is a learning curve for Shaurya and he never repeats this, because that will be true character development.

LOL at first I liked his tashan with Shaurya but now I feel like Shaurya has the better one-liners and the ACP can't keep up. But it's clear that they are trying to show him as the opposite of Shaurya with the whole back and forth between Anokhi and him about victim blaming/reporting. But I wish the writing was slightly more nuanced so it didn't seem like such a forced parallel.

Also not a fan of Shaurya being jealous of their physical proximity because to me that tips from being jealous to being territorial and Anokhi is not his property.

And Again we will see Shaurya being her knight with Shining Armour helping Anokhi out of cheating accusition🤢

Again, his attraction towards Anokhi has been for the reason, he has seen her strongheaded woman who needs his protection and guidance. The start could be ragging case where he saved her, Anokhi on her own couldn't get the truth out, he had to help her, he had to help her through riots (without being credited) and even yesterday. It is fine for him to believe if they do get together, Anokhi will always need him and hence never leave him like Astha left Shaan or Shagun left him. He WILL be stronger one there.

That's why I wished that during riots CVs should have made slight change to the plot where Shaurya gets in trouble because of Anokhi's zidd and Anokhi feels guilty and cares for him, helps him and everything that would make him see stronger and caring side of Anokhi rather than poor, always in trouble woman! She should have helped him till hospital, even if it's with help of Inspector.. She should have taken the lead role. And to be honest, I have seen such incidents in other DJs shows where ML gets in trouble because of FL's stubbornness and she ensures he gets treated bringing ML closer and wanting more attention from FL.

At this point, I do believe this was intentional that CVs always kept Anokhi a victim so that Shaurya's ego keeps going up every time he supports Anokhi.

@bold - another thing which is wrong with Shaurya and needs to be adrressed. In my personal life also, I have male friends and I even hug them at times. Sadly, if ShaKhi bloomed, with Shaurya's current mentality, he'd never let Anokhi get closer to another guy in a friendly way too. We all might be having or might be having close male best friends who are like family to us. And those ppl are needed in life. Anokhi is still young and she needs those friendships besides love.

Shaurya is a very territorial man. During the goons scene , he was initially daying "uss ladki ko chodho" but as soon as he realised its Anokhi and saw him touching her (even though I feel the goon was just holding her neck and was not going to touch her that time) but Shaurya screamed " usko choona mat" . Not only once, but screamed that loudly even afterwards. Infact his continuous stressing om the point "usse choona mat" made that guy touch her in that creepy way. His lines at that time should have been more calculated like " usko chodh do" . But as he is extremely territorial of Anokhi, he cannot see anyone touching her at all. At that time it looked romantic to us, cause at that time she was in danger and those ppl were bad and somewhere his fears were right too. Uska rape bhi ho skta tha. That is why Shaurya's dialogue looked good to us.

But the fact is he isnt like that only with the goons. He is like that with every guy who talks to Anokhi. I bet even if it was a guy student today, Shaurya would behave in the same exact manner. His love is territorial and that needs to be changed cause it will make his relationship with Anokhi really toxic. I am happy that these issues are being adrressed before they get into a relationship. Atleast, she wouldn't have to go through this once she is officially with him (because that hurts more).
