They are literally showing her as a doormat. Baa keeps uttering rubbish but she takes it. Her son toshu clearly does not respect her but she takes it. Her ex husband is living with his girlfriend and she shown looking after her..She had somewhere lost self respect.

Seriously getting fed up of the show. Even my mother is like getting bored. Once they showed Anupama that she is also a normal human being who is not mahan. But still in the serial they keep on showing her exaggerated mahanta which practically no one should support. Her mahanta is what making vanraj, toshu and Pakhi overpower her.

Kuch normal side bhi dikhane chaiye Anupama ki where she genuinely reacts to Kavyas or vanraj a situation. Bas voh side tabhi dikhaye the serial valo ne the when the affair was exposed. After that again all and all her mahanta which is unbearable and irritating. Normally I watch the episode in hotstar and whenever she starts giving her long lectures of mahanta I skip those parts as those parts seems to be literally supporting stupidity which one should never do.

Rather I love to see Rakhis or kinjals taunt. They are superb in giving a reply which a normal person will react.

As rajan shahi is following his own marathi version which is also home production of rajan shahi. Then in coming episode pakhi will start drinking and smoking with the influence of boy friend and anupama will take strict against pakhi and kavya and vanraj will live at seperate house

Kavya anupama and vanraj are not Living at same house if we go by marathi version

So going by marathi version after Counselor give them 6 th month

Two track will be shown at anupama

1 pakhi drinking smoking and partyinng late night and anupama taking strict decision against pakhi

2 nandini and samar marriage talk

Though to me it looks more like they are mostly following the original (Sreemoyee), where *SPOILERS AHEAD* Sreemoyee is still living in the same house even right now, even after her ex-husband his married his mistress 🤢

I have read marathi version wikipedia and Even marathi version update too 95 percent hindi version is following marathi version

Only diference is that in marathi version sanjana ( kavya) had son nikhil

Yes traditional desi society isn't perfect and it is unfair to women in many ways...

But I said right from the beginning of this show and my opinion is the same now- letting your kids walk all over you (the way Anu does most of the time with Toshu and Pankhi) is the OPPOSITE of what desi society advocates... children are expected to show immense respect towards both their parents...

It is (at least partly) Anu's own failing if she has failed to teach her kids to respect their own mother despite it aligning exactly with what society would expect of them anyway...

My cousin's family came over a month or so back and we all watched Anupama together while they were there... none of them had ever seen it before (they only watch western stuff) and my cousin had remarked almost straight away how abnormal the way Pankhi behaves with her mother (and gets away with it!) is, especially for a typical Indian joint family...

Baa and Vanraj are horrible, but (unfortunately 🤔) there are many husbands and MILs like that in India and women would often be told to keep forgiving them and putting up with them in order to become mahaan... but thankfully, kids like Toshu and Pankhi who have so much general disrespect towards their mother are very rare, and even in such rare cases, NO ONE expects the mothers to put up with them!

I will say if anupama start behaving and speaking like rakhi or baa or take completely u turn in anupama characterhen many people will find anupama character weird . Sub yahi kahenge ki yeh anupama ko kya ho gaya

Imagine if anupama start speaking dialogue like rakhi or baa to kaisa, lagega,

Suppose if anupama start calling kavya maide ki katori. Or start calling rakhi naagin Mujhe to bahut ajeeb lagega not because I sympathyse with kavya but because yeh dialogue maide ki katori from mouth of anupama does not suit according to anupama personality

I looked up what happened in Sreemoyee and apparently there June (Kavya) moved in with the family claiming to be pregnant with Anindya's (Vanraj's) child, and Sreemoyee (Anupama) remained in the house an took care of her during the fake pregnancy...

A lot of other stuff seems to have happened in the middle which I'm not sure of but now Anindya and June are married and Sreemoyee is still living in the same house...

She does have another love interest but she is reluctant to marry him (of course 😆) and it looks like she will carry on living in that house till she actually marries another man (so much for women empowerment lmao)...

If Anupama goes in the same direction then I'm out for good!

Anu doesn't have to act like Rakhi or Baa...

But that doesn't mean living with ex husband and his mistress, or supporting Vanraj over Samar who has always stood by her...
