Anyone joined Clubhouse yet? Struggling to see the hype. Feel like there’s huge potential for creative types though.

I've been hearing a lot about Clubhouse these days but I haven't joined it yet. 😆 It's draining enough staying in the loop with all the work updates and mandatory meetings. It might have helped some people's social needs in 2020 but people are getting sick and tired of all things virtual by now. I'd much rather just wait for the lockdown to end and go back to in-person interactions!

I can’t believe it’s 2021 and i’m still stuck attending these “virtual happy hours” every Friday.🤦🏽‍♀️relieved the quiz hype died though. I reckon if you’re starting a business, need to network or increase your reach, clubhouse right now can be really big for you, especially because it’s still very much early days and you can do a lot if you capitalise now. I’ve joined a few “rooms” on what I thought were fun, lighthearted topics and got pseudo intellectual vibes which has put me off.

It’s basically large conference call where narcissistic Silicon Valley VCs can hang out along themselves 😒.

Oh no sorry. I think you mistook my post. Those are expected side effects and were experienced by people in the clinical trials as well. CDC has them listed. So I am not reporting it. I mean I was expecting it. But I was just shocked at the intensity with which I felt the fever on and off. Fever, joint pain, fatigue etc. are expected with these mRNA vaccines. And to be honest I was a little relieved at the same time too because that meant at least my immune system was reacting to it. But it’s definitely not comfortable. My post was just to let people know what to expect. Thank you though. I’m definitely back to my normal self after a 24 hour post vaccine onslaught 😆

I wonder if Pfizer too has severe side-effects after the 2nd dose. Most, if not all, who had such severe side-effects got Moderna. In my friends' circle, those who got Pfizer, had lesser/milder side-effects compared to those who got Moderna.

And oh yes, I agree. You gotta plan to take off the day after the 2nd dose. Even if the side-effects are not bad, you will still be fatigued and incapable of working.

My sister and I got Moderna and we had the exact same symptoms 24 hours after the second shot. It resolved in one day. My coworkers received Pfizer. Among the 10 or so I’ve talked to, only one of them has similar side effects as me after the second Pfizer shot. It may be less common with Pfizer. But who knows, this is just anecdotal.

Yes. I would highly recommend that you and your husband take it on separate days. Maybe spread it out by 3-4 days since you have to take care of a child. You will most likely feel very tired along with fevers, the next day. So it’s best to have someone in better shape around. Other than that, don’t be scared. You won’t even feel the shot, it was painless going in and it sure as heck beats getting the rona.

Are you British? Yeah, gotta love those virtual happy hours ... 😆 Such a pain in the neck and awkward as F most the time.

Clubhouse sounds like an interactive version of podcasts to me... except the invite-only part.

I've been hearing similar stories from others too and while I'm not worried for myself cuz I can take the day off and ride it out, both my mom and dad are high risk with pre-exisiting medical conditions. They took the first dose of mRNA pretty well but I'm now wondering how the second one will be for them after hearing all these stories from people in their 20s and 30s. 🤔

Glad you feel good 😊

Oh I know that about side effects (working on COVID myself)....the survey (voluntary ofcourse) is not for reporting, they are giving it to everyone through vsafe app post shots since they are building a database to study the possible reactions, I suppose...it indicates that depending on the response they may want to talk to the responder. I did not have any reaction myself (got Pfizer) , since you had, was wondering the same.

@bold haha exactly, another person said exactly the same when he had similar reactions

Personally I don't think there is much to worry about if one is not allergic....at least this is much better than getting the disease itself 😆
