Lovely thread Fary🤗 and thank you for the journey down memory lane!!It reminds you of why this show has us hooked and is still so charming and exciting even after 100 episodes. Imlie is really proving so different from the tried and tested formulas of ITV.
Exactly going over them together just reminds you again why are you still in it despite the few hiccups in the middle haha but the overall journey is so satisfying 😌 🧿 makes it easier to ignore then.

Must mention here that the way ST speaks bhojpuri is so different and makes it endearing too and less assult like on the ears how they mostly show this language in TV shows ( no offense to anyone who speaks bhojpuri or against the language ..) it is just how it is represented in tv that it comes across as too harsh.. so thanks to ST and others for making it endearing and using it a bit more softly even when dada speaks it ...it is so much softer dialect for his dhamkis too IFYWiM

I don't comment very often on this forum, but this stood out to me. Are you sure that the dialect Imilie is speaking is Bhojpuri? Bhojpuri is a whole other language. I did some research and I believe Imlie is speaking Aawdhi. I have a real interest in this, as I believe it is the language of my ancestors, who were originally from India. Awadhi is spoken in the UP and is considered a dialect of Hindi.

Sorry I don't know in detail I am familiar with it as bhojouri in various shows and movies I do if it is just an extension or actual sub branch..
