in our patriarchal and male chauvinistic country/society sadly nobody ever asks for mother's name everyone only wants to ask for father's name. So School will not care who her and mother is. Every form you've ever filled will have you fill out your father or husband's name. I think passport is the only document i have where both my parents names are listed

I agree to some extent... But then he could have mentioned so in some records so that Madhuri can also attend meetings in school and if any emergency they can call Madhuri instead of Pulkit who would be busy with work... That way...
