Who do we have the right to shout at? Those that are our own.
Who do we try to correct when we feel they are wrong? Those that are our own.
Who do we use as a punching bag when we need to take our frustrations out? Those that are our own.
With whom do we cross boundaries of formality and can be our own selves? Those that are our own.
Who do we take for granted? Those that are our own.
Ok, I was not attempting to write poetry here, but after watching Shaurya aur Anokhi ki Kahaani and especially after today's episode, this is what I feel about the characters.
Shaurya vents his anger out in front of only three people, his father, mother and Anokhi. This is because he thinks them as his own. With others, he is very civil and well mannered.
Anokhi often crosses the boundaries of a teacher-student relationship and tries to reason with Shaurya because she also somewhere considers him as her own. She feels she has a right on him. That is why she took all that he did for her for granted and sent the thank you note to ACP. That is why she is hurt when Aastha reprimands her for talking rudely to Shaurya, who to Aastha's eyes is only her teacher.
Aastha knows to what lengths Anokhi went to search for her, to reconcile her to her son. Still, instead of being grateful, she admonishes her. It is because Aastha too considers Anokhi as her own and feels she should correct her. Aastha does not have so much right even with her son. When she thought that she had, she tried to admonish him too ( in the Gurdaspur episode), but now she cannot as she feels she has lost those rights on him. She may even try to overcompensate and Anokhi will sometimes bear the brunt.
