I haven't taken my husband's name. And initially I believe my in laws found it difficult to digest in the beginning and my parents also asked me to change once but I never did. I never asked anyones permission since it's my name and identity hence it was solely my decision. Although I never asked my husband and just told him but till date he never even thought of asking me to change. Infact he proudly calls me by my full name infront of his relatives lol

Changing my name felt like loosing who I am specially if tou are married to non Indian so I added the last name to my name.

No I have not changed my surname.

My name is my identity ☺️
